ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

might need to explain to your euro mate then that ours was the original aleague derby with a broken leg after a tackle and a brawl in the tunnel afterwards - in the first ever aleague game. the blood pressure has been high ever since, we beat them to a grandfinal with a 3nil win then they beat us in that grand final. then we've won everything else since. our captain stirs them up constantly, the club has even spent time putting up flyers around Newcastle before a game comparing our many trophies to their many wooden spoons.
wsw and syd are rivals only because of location, they have no real history yet. only MV v AU has near as much rivalry, and not really the derby aspect.
the f3 derby is and always has been THE derby!
see even recent article that describe it

The game itself, no doubt... unfortunately he was talking capacity crowds and large away contingents mate

I've never heard of it used before it must be like how punchbowl is also known as punchy by bogans
I've heard of the term many times before… it's quite common actually and is your typical Australian colloquial abbreviation for a proper noun.

Hope you enjoyed the game mate. I couldn't be there in person, stuck at home on domestic duties, but kudos to you and all the noisy Yellow Army fans who went to the away derby. :)

How do you know with all that confirmation bias swirling around in your head. And no matter how you attempt to butter it up, calling someone a plum in the manner you did is slang for a certain part of a woman's anatomy, and worse, and quite derogatory. You do some interesting, good posts,:) but you also get carried away with very thinly veiled profanity.:( (EDIT: I redacted a sentence here, being a bit harsh I think )
Nobody minds constructive criticism, nor contrary views. That's the good thing about everybody expressing themselves on a forum like this.

(EDIT: I redacted a bit here, said in anger, not what I really wanted  )

I've always got carried away.
I wear my heart on my sleeve.
If you played Football with me you would shake you head at times ( think of Muscat and Keene) but I'd always back you up if we had the same shirt on.
I'm not very PC but I'm a nice fella but I do tell it how it is ( even if it's only in my mind).
Anyway......keep posting....because your views are important.
