finally pre season has started only 4 months till the a-league i cant wait. especially with the epl finshing sooon, i am  gonna miss my weekend professional football fix, but i cant wait for season four and the mariners to brng home a title

I watched the team practice this morning.

Matty Osman was running with Hutch (injured at pract yesterday) away from the main group. Matty was looking pretty good for the runs. He will be OK he has been working very hard with his rehab and it will pay off for him.
Nik was running with Trotty also away from the group. He (Nik) was pretty upbeat and looking forward to the season.
Greg Owens in civvie gear and not practicing.

The main group was doing a Yo-Yo beep test. I am sure you can guess two of the first three who gave up.

But the last three standing at the end in reverse order were

Dylan McAllister

DEAN HEFFERNAN

Brad Porter.

Porter did it easily and did a couple of extra beeps after Heff gave up. But it was amazing to think that Heff was up there that far still recovering from his busted leg. There were still some tell tale signs though, that he still has a fair way to go. A limp here, a limp there as he was putting himself under pressure. But boy Heff will be there no worries.

What a big unit Dylan is. He will provide a physical presence in the penalty area that we have not had before. He's got thighs like tree trunks and an upper body that will be tough to push around. As I was leaving he crashed in a left side footed volley from a right flank cross with precision power and assurance.

Correct.  Andre was not there at practice. In ABSW today they said he is set to join Bankstown City Lions when the transfer window opens in May. He will be regarded as the messiah if he can get them into the semi finals. Currently they are sitting in third last place 16 points behind front runners Manly. Their goal difference is -10 having scored only 3 goals in 8 games and conceded 13
