ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. Krusty, you need one other thing first - a song that can be legally played. Songs like "Yellow Football Team" and "Yellow" would have copyright and/or royalty issues. The crowd can sing them, but you can't print the words and/or you can't broadcast the tunes without permission and probably a hefty fee.
What we need is the ones with talent to write, or get together and write, something that uniquely identifies our club and team. Of course then we need to get the club to agree to using the song, but I'm sure we have people with the necessary contacts to put the case to.
The chants and general mayhem from the Marinators is great atmosphere when you sit close as we do. However, when you're down the other end of the ground you can only hear noise. If we have a team song broadcast at the start of the game, with the words given out, people know what it is, and if it starts up again during the game from the Marinators, it has a better chance of spreading.
I would love to be involved in writing something, but I have no talent. But I can be involved in helping.

theres one chant the Japanese have been using to great affect for most of the latter part of the first half, which would work awesomely.
