Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Oh haha, you can't say anything about people going around the top, last time we were at bluetongue, had one guy celebrating a goal and spitting on people.. shameful display.

Anyways, I'm sure the marinators weren't directly associated with the individual, as the squadron wasn't with the poster #6 explained.

shamefully, it happens.. especially with rivalries as big as ours. Theres no other in the league that compares, IMO.

Security is shithouse in every single stadium.
And when things get out of hand or they f**k up the cops step in and abuse there force.

That has to be the lowest thing any fan of any code could do.

The 2 massive rivalries in the a-league have to be sydney and melbourne, and F3 derby.

I spoke to a copper near HT and berated him for trying to provoke the incident he was put their to avoid. Namely, forcing people to go to seats that were already occupied. I asked him what he wanted me to do?? Not my problem was his response.

I may have then mentioned that the security guard was the f**kwit who let this happen and he just nodded.

If the jest fans have to put up with this every week.............

Green, trust me its nothing like this every week..

It's the FFA. We've never had 6 security/staff around the squadron.. People got warnings but honestly, I sat where I wanted.. Luckily enough so did the person who had the seats I was sitting in.

My bag got checked for flares by 3 different people upon entry to the stadium.

The poles were checked everytime, some poles you couldnt put anything in to begin with...

And what was with the ticket checking everytime you entered the bay? surely after 60mins you'd stop.

Also after the game i noticed some guy walking off with one of our big flags. i tracked him down outside the stadium.
"here, I'll take it for you"
Nah, its ok i got it
"you sure?, your going on the bus?"
Nah, im not
"ah, well its mine and i want it back"
Nah its not, its mine i paid 50 bucks for it
"i dont think so mate"
yeah
"give it here dickhead"

so, some wanker tried pinching one of our massive flags.

BTW, who is in charge of flag / banner collections, i think ive got almost all the banners...

They should have stopped at some point because it obviously wasn't working - more people in there than seats.

I must have an angelic face (or something?!?!?) I told the lady that I had nothing in my bag (backpack) i opened it up she saw my jumper (on top) and felt my bag and that was it... I had streamers in there, yet other people were told/made (to) throw theirs out..

heh one of the people I was walking in with got their streamers taken away from them - I practically waved mine in the security guy's face while serious was informing him of the weapons and flares I had strapped to my body... got in no dramas.. ;D

I agree, security have no idea on how  to de-escalt confrontation.  How could you in a six week course.  No people skills.  I was on a caution of being thrown out for handing out Go Mariners cards in the away supporters bays because a 16 year old crowd control shit head, told his supervisor that I didn't tell him what I was doing.

He berated me, yelling loudly at me and expected me to sit down shut up.  Well I will not.  I had explained what I was doing, the kid said no.  I could not see why it was a problem.  Then the f**k wit in the brown shit began like hitler's men.  What does he expect.  I've not got a flare, I'm not drunk, I'm not swearing, I'd had a great trip up on the bus and was sharing a fun activity with mariners fans.

Oh! I forgot it was not my aile to walk down.  Get real.  We mariner fans can have fun without causing trouble.  The security wouldn't let us in with streamers.  the FFA are dictatorial and Ben ...uckly should look at it.  Football would be nothing without the colour, the supporter banter.  As someone said on the bus, "could you imagine this type of behaviour happening in europe?"  No.

I pay a lot of money all year.  Again I'm saying the same thing.  Rules need to be standardised to assist fans.  No point going through the right channels to have things given the OK, if someone at the ground is going to let power/authority go to the tiny head.

I would also like to see a standing only area.  I'm sick of being told to sit down.  I'm not at the bowls I'm at football 90 minutes of emotion.  Or is this false advertising by the FFA cause you can only have emotions in your mind.

:goodpost:

We should compile this letter and others and send them on. I was going to write a letter. But a compilation of these would be far more likely to at least be noticed. We should send copies to FFA, Newcastle whoever..., and probably "Total f**knuckle" Harper has a rare gift for whining...  ;D

That is the lowest thing anyone could do. Spend your own time and money working on it then some thinks, oh look here is a flag, its mine now. Completely dog.
Same shit is happening in the cove, jerks are pinching banners :(
Not on at all!

one way of doing it, is too stand your ground and all the marinators do it.
Marinators have a right to stand, like the squadron and cove and many other groups.
If its a problem,
Need to make all the singers go in one place and everyone stands then anyone thats having a cry about it might decide to stand too. I'm sure u already do this...
FFA need to start making bays strictly standing only and have conditions for being in the home/away supporters bays. For example, like wear clubs colours, sing, create the atmosphere etc...

As for the f**ks who throw drinks and spit over the balcony every game: when the security guard stands underneath, looking up at them, and radio-ing to someone else saying that it's already happened,... of course they're not going to catch anyone doing it, because they can see you watching them, and when it happened you missed it.

Stick someone up on the 2nd and 3rd tiers for the whole game and open your eyes.

I mentioned this as well in the game thread. As I said, if I didn't have my young bloke with me I would have walked up there and jobbed those pricks. Hardly the first time it's happened either. It seems to happen everytime we go up there.

Apparently it's all right for them to do it and yet we can't take streamers in.

I hate that f**king stadium as much as I hate the scum that play in it.

I refuse to take my family to the Newcastle games based on past history with the 'Knights' fans... They are utter scum and I hate going there. It would seem that the football fans are no different. Its a shame, I was hoping that there may have been some hope for them. Just shows you the quality of low life there that 'shines' through when they spit and throw drinks...
