ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

haha mate i'm a newcastle fan and the security @ EAS has always been a bit of a joke, if anyone was there tonight, in the back of the eastern stand there was a "block" in place, my bet to stop any violence, but they were just letting people through anyways?

either way grats for making the trip, can't wait to be down there!

definetly, if anything that incites people to violence.. you build a fort people will attack, or something like that the saying goes

The silly thing is that they formed a blockade so we could not walk out past the squadron end but to get to my car i had to walk past them anyway. If you don't want the fans meeting up then maybe they could split the car park so Mariners fans park on the left where the buses were. I also could not believe with all the police there that they did not have somebody directing traffic after the game.

Marconigirl was prevented by the security from going to the ladies toilet (behind Bay 7 or thereabouts) after the game - luckily the ones at the north end were open this time. What did that prevent - random acts of cubicle violence?

As for the f**ks who throw drinks and spit over the balcony every game: when the security guard stands underneath, looking up at them, and radio-ing to someone else saying that it's already happened,... of course they're not going to catch anyone doing it, because they can see you watching them, and when it happened you missed it.

Stick someone up on the 2nd and 3rd tiers for the whole game and open your eyes.

I thought the security was pathetic.

We got there, over an HOUR before kick off. And there were people sitting in our seats, so we looked round and thought...no one seems to be sitting in alocated seats so we'll all just grab a few rows for us and keep together. Didn't happen. We ended up getting booted out by people who hd those alocated seats and wanted to sit there, which is fair enough! So by kick off...we had no where to sit. I sat in the aisle for the first 10 minutes and couldn't see a thing because everytime we tried to stand up, we'd get yelled at by some random.

So we decide to go sit on the stairs way up the back. As I got to the back, I was behind a group of people asking if the Security could please escort them to their seats, and kick out the people who were in it. The Security Guard said "Not my problem".

So, thanks to me getting in early, and paying my money to see the game, I spent the entire 90 minutes on a step, only seeing what happened on the Supporter side end of the field.

Going into the stadium, he made me pull everything out of my bag, and check my flag in case it had obsenties on it. It was a plain Mariners flag, but he checked it over for a good few minutes.

He didn't however, even notice the two half full bottles of water which were on the side of my bag...I wish they were vodka now, just so I could have a bit of a laugh at them...

yeah, well I'm not going to lie, rarely does anyone sit in their seats in supporter groups, even the squadron, I was sitting 3rd row when I was meant to be 15 or something :p

but honestly, if you wanted a seat you should have just told them to move

Not just your lot were targeted, we had several banners removed from our section due to different things, load of FFA crap if you ask me. The "GODVIC" Covic banner got confiscated as it had religous overtones, WTF?

I want to know what the f@#K was the go with them walking two idiots in jets shirts and scarves on the pitch in front of the away supporters then around the Northern end and out near the bomber squad.

There was the usual idiots doing there walk through the away bays again. I'm surprised they make it through every time.

Security were muppets getting people to sit down or moving them off the concourse then standing in exactly the same spot so the same problem was still there just in a hi vis vest. actually it was worse cause the security guys were about the size of 3 supporters.

They had "Access to All Areas" passes, which should have been instantly taken from them for being dickheads...

I agree, security have no idea on how  to de-escalt confrontation.  How could you in a six week course.  No people skills.  I was on a caution of being thrown out for handing out Go Mariners cards in the away supporters bays because a 16 year old crowd control shit head, told his supervisor that I didn't tell him what I was doing.

He berated me, yelling loudly at me and expected me to sit down shut up.  Well I will not.  I had explained what I was doing, the kid said no.  I could not see why it was a problem.  Then the f**k wit in the brown shit began like hitler's men.  What does he expect.  I've not got a flare, I'm not drunk, I'm not swearing, I'd had a great trip up on the bus and was sharing a fun activity with mariners fans.

Oh! I forgot it was not my aile to walk down.  Get real.  We mariner fans can have fun without causing trouble.  The security wouldn't let us in with streamers.  the FFA are dictatorial and Ben ...uckly should look at it.  Football would be nothing without the colour, the supporter banter.  As someone said on the bus, "could you imagine this type of behaviour happening in europe?"  No.

I pay a lot of money all year.  Again I'm saying the same thing.  Rules need to be standardised to assist fans.  No point going through the right channels to have things given the OK, if someone at the ground is going to let power/authority go to the tiny head.

I would also like to see a standing only area.  I'm sick of being told to sit down.  I'm not at the bowls I'm at football 90 minutes of emotion.  Or is this false advertising by the FFA cause you can only have emtions in your mind.

With the aisle thing, so very annoying, went to go buy a drink and got told i had to walk (all the way back down to row a) to get my ticket, because you weren't allowed back in without one.. utter rubbish...

Yes, how come we weren't allowed to have streamers etc, yet the scum were able to bring in newspapers (to rip up and throw around the ground), which would make more of a mess, and take longer to clean up?

This would definately save for a whole lot of trouble... and then those people that don't want to stand wont have to, unless they are stupid enough to buy in that area.
