ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

It doesn't matter who's playing.....cancelling a league game for a friendly is just ridiculous.

+ 10, 000.....i think i mentioned before that those scum sucking dogs up the road signed off on the same draw that we did, and by crikey they should have been made to abide by it.....but since this aint a perfect world and the FFA think blowing Becks is more important than the competition that their trying to promote and expand....the jests /FFA get to do what they fn want.....imaginer the hoo haa if we tried sumthing like this...FARK MOI...WE'D NEVER LIVE IT DOWN

um, if it's the FFA's job to 'expand the league and create hype etc etc' then they've made the correct decision.
Fact is this friendly will create more hype, media attention and have bigger profits then Mariners vs Jets.

If they are creating hype for football in general then well done, but for the A-League.... it just looks like they are saying the A-League is such an inferior product they will cancel "blockbuster" (hate that word but the equivalent of Collingwood-Carlton, etc, etc in AFL) matches to put on some random friendly with some random overseas team that happens to have a Pom in it that can land free kicks but not do much else these days.

Exactly Adz, it cheapens the A-League as a product. It is sending the wrong message and not good for the long term marketing of the game in that the FFA chooses a meaningless match over its flagship competition.

In other words they are basically using the toilet seat to take a crap.

The game surely can't be starting at 6pm (typo on the A-League site perhaps). That's only half an hour after the start of the Nix vs Jam Tards match at the Cake Tin, and I don't think that there have been 2 matches being played at the same time since v1.

According to my media guide the Nix vs Tards game starts at 4pm Australian eastern daylight-saving time (6pm NZ time).

6pm for our game seems correct.

Will stuff any real derby crowd appearing - more reason why the Becks exhibition game is a disaster - but at least for me I can train it up and get home before midnight.

They obviously don't expect any workers from Sydney to go. I work in Gordon, but don't knock off until 5 so I'm out. Would have gone too if it was a sensible time.
