ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

We dont play with a DM. No one does anymore. We have a midfield pair. 1 to sit and 1 to run (sadly they both sit)
This. Watching the last game it was painful watching our backs trying to play out whilst our two midfielders ran alongside their pressing forwards offering nothing. Just running horizontal lines. It did change in the second half when Alfie came on. He played much deeper giving a more vertical line to play through their press.

Number 1 problem is our Midfield.
Number 2 is our Goal keeper
Number 3 problem is our lack of goals....mainly from the strikers but also from the mids.

. i'd swap two and three

. our goalscoring has been atrocious ... score more goals and it relieves the pressure elsewhere (everywhere!) ... and less pressure at the back means less pressure on the 'keeper

. less pressure means less mistakes ... and the backs have been equally mistake prone as the 'keepers under pressure

Number 1 problem is no goals.

Only Perth have scored fewer goals than us.

No goals, no wins. We've only won 4 games, only scum and Roar have a worse record.

I have almost no hope for a win tonight and I'm not even sure if I'll be bothered to watch it. Even in the dark times I wasn't infected with this kind of apathy.

Low vibrational frequency Corsair. Try some guided meditation and some guided breathwork both will bring you up. Apathy is down there with Guilt and Shame on the scale of emotions.

I have to say I’m feeling very much the same.

The big difference for me is that in the bad times, while I had no hope for wins, I still had passion for the club.

Right now, I have no passion for the club and no hope for wins.

I have tried the guided meditation and breathwork @Wombat but unfortunately we are still not winning nor is the club winning me back over, so I’m starting to think my efforts are misdirected lol

We start getting our foot on the ball and opposition stops the game.

Story of the year.

We need to go all out attack and start getting the first goal in games so we can stop the game every 5 seconds and sneak some dirty wins.

Dam, we are our own worst enemy.

And as always we are so predictable that teams man mark us and when we play it out they just on our arse.

Ball comes loose and we have no one around to get the scraps due to the structure, makes picking up second balls almost impossible.

And even 50/50’s fall to them because of our wide system.

We actually might need a new coach to win back the enthusiasm and winning mentality of the players for next year.

Jacko has to be thanked, but like Chiefy Pheonix if you don’t have the players to suit and not willing to adapt there’s not much you can do.

We had a choice to start preparing for next year and choose a new structure and style and seems there is 3 bench players I would have started over the some of the starting 11.
And players are out of position all over the park to try and strengthen defence and look how that turns out.

Not if you’ve had a long week and don’t know what day it is. lol.

The correct match thread isn’t coming up in what’s new like usual when a new comment is made.

But found thread now.

Not sure how this one got rolling.
