ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm lost.  What does trent have to do with BUD v BER?

He isn't affiliated with any club - not that I see how sending a player off implies he does..........???

Ah, so a referee who used to play for a club and knows somebody must be biased.  Good to know, i guess that's based in perfectly sound reasoning.  After all, Trent must also be in the minority of referees, I'm sure hardly any referees know anybody in a club, and I'm sure even fewer have actually played football.

We really should cull those officials out.  Actually, even better, we shouldn't even allow officials living on the central coast to referee on the coast.  That'll take care of everything.

not buying into that arguement about trent, all i will say as i played that day (ent v berk ) was that he is terrible, sending someone off for asking what for and writing in his report that he was told to f*#ck off. players from berkeley confirmed what was said at full time and offered to help fight it but not worth it. As far as this weeks game ( budg v berk ) makes for a cracker. On paper and form it should  be but the fact you are playing at mingara kills that idea for me. Everyone said that about our game and it wasnt up to expectation. i will give you a little heads up wilson, the field looks great from wyong rd but when you get on it you will think its crap. the grass is 20 inches long and is full of holes and divots from the discuss and shot putt. ( makes for great game of rolling ankles rather than football ), There is still approx. 6 games of league to be played at mingara and untill that is finished they will not cut the grass. It is that long that when you walk onto it you cant even see your boots, not only that but when you pass the ball it stops dead, has the makings of a very hard and tough game of football. Any way enough of my novel writing, good luck anyway. We have kincumber at kincumber.

Yeah this is how the pitch looks... Lines marked in red!!

Looks like you have done your homework, warn your keeper if its sunny as the lines are even harder too see and when a long ball is played through it is very hard to see your 18yard box lines, i nearly got caught out several times due to this. Most of the lines are red but some were also white which added to the uncertanty. I actually thought all lines were to be white or black but then again after playing at doylo they had blue lines, prey for a rainbow on game day as you may get away with more.lol. If its not the case i think all fields should be marked in white or black but most importantly all fields should be marked using the one colour for every line on the field and ccf should monitor this.

That's true....though it gets difficult when you have junior field running across the main field.

IMO white lines are far, far better than black - black lines just blend into dirt and mud, though I think they also tend to last longer than white.

Though CCF themselves aren't too great at line marking - often at Pluim the lines are only marked in one direction, so standing at halfway you can see the lines to your left but to your right there's nothing.
