Yep they did both. Looks like mcGing will be rb. Also interesting to see that Rowles & cisse were playing CB.Did they look like they worked on formations or had a game?
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hoole looked like he was playing in a central role. Only other interesting thing is they were practicing something different, which was the long ball from defender to opposite winger (eg left back to right wing) high up the field. Maybe this is tactical as Perth get caught out when they get spread? Thanks for that.
Looks like no change in formation then.
Any other interesting changes? e.g Hoole?

HmmmTommy H, Tommy oar & Connor pain all on light duties at training today. tommy oars knee was strapped, no visible injury on the other two
I am hearing that the Rowles experiment has run its course, so we will see something different this week.
I will no doubt get shot down by the other armchair managers on here but the problem right now is that we are short of defenders and heavy on mids, so I would honestly be considering a 3-5-2 formation against Perth. The wingbacks would drop into a 5 man defence when we are under pressure and it would also mean that we number up against Perth, as that is the system they play (very successfully I might add).
My personal line up in that formation would be
BK.
Tommy. Cissé. Rowles
O’Neil
Pain. Weemac. Oar. Clisby
Simon
McCormack
Controversial in some people’s eyes no doubt but it does solve some of our basic flaws.
I should also have added that if Oar is out as some have suggested, Hoole slots straight in or could even replace Weemac if he is still training the house down.

No. It isnt. Healthier if we all just deal with that now.Imagine if we won this one? Now now stop laughing - it's not impossible
But really it's not going to go well is it.
For sure we can beat Perth but i'm not willing to put money on it. If we have a go we can jag a point. Palace v Arsenal, when the Arse were on a 11 game win streak.....they heard i put $100 on and of course drew with lowly Palace.
