lazy, flat footed defending, player gets away. Pity. Would have been glorious if we snatched a draw
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Captain, you are being too one eyed. Aspro ducked into it.
Honda is about 3 inches shorter than Aspro and his foot was his height (Honda) at just under 6 foot. Definite high foot and reckless at best - yellow minimum.
That's cool and all, but he didn't. Honda's foot was up at head height. You bend down, you take your chances.
I remember my son, was given a yellow card in the U16s, for putting himself in danger for lowering his head and copping a boot in the face. I thought the ref was a goose.
However on tonight's decision you bend forward to head the ball you risk a foot.
That's cool and all, but he didn't. Honda's foot was up at head height.

Aspro dropped his head, what, maybe 6 inches? Versus Honda jumping and lifting the boot up that high?
It comes down to who is more at fault for the dangerous sitauation. A head dropped 6 inches versus a jumping boot lifted that high? You're mad if you think Honda wasn't responsible there.
Yes, a player can be penalised for putting themselves at risk - usually that if you're heading a ball around waist/knee height.
You're right that the ref is a goose if your son was booked for it though - no justification for that (assuming there wasn't dissent, persistent infringement, something like that)
Around, say, low chest height, it starts getting a bit 50-50 - though usually it's still the fault of the kicker still.
It comes down to who created the danger there.
We had a structure today which we kept for the entire game which is something we have not done since Moss ...
