Anyone notice there were no pools of water on the sidelines but the field of play was full of water. Wondering how difficult it is to use laser levels and have the pitch slope away from the centre circle to assist with water drainage.

I think everyone was thinking exactly the same thing. Wasn’t that long ago it was re-turfed either.

Wtf happened to those big roller broom things? i kept saying on Saturday that we've played games in as bad conditions before and they just squeegee the field.

i bet they had them ready for Syd vs Melb

You'd think when it's re-turfed they could laser level it with a slope from the middle towards the edges. Pretty sure Suncorp in Brisbane is like that. It's why Wally Lewis kicks always rolled into touch

Hubby kept saying the same and yes they had them out for the big blue. Still, by the end of that match the water was flying off the pitch. Looked hideous.. not sure it was the wisest choice to play in it but can’t see them cancelling that one.

I still think the episode where they get duped by Boycey into attending a wake in fancy dress was one of their best. The bit where the woman is being mugged and Del and Rodney come running out of the fog in their Batman & Robin costumes after their van won’t start is pure comedy gold.
