NYE has now become a big character test for us, coupled with the apparent off field issues, Jacko certainly has his work cut out for him getting the boys to rebound from tonight’s horror show.

They did, we seemed to get pulled up every time they went down easily. Evans only decided to square up the stats a bit in the dying minutes when it had no impact. Absolutely horrid officiating as expected. Two of their goals were a direct result of fouls - Alfie pulled down on half way for one and the other with the retaliation. Now I’m somewhat ok with the yellow for retaliation but it should have stopped with a foul our way.

As for the squad it was poor but far from our worst this season. Rejigged back line was always going to take time to sort out and I can see what Jackson was going for putting Sains in the middle to direct traffic. Didn’t work out but they’ll learn and build from there. Whether it’s as a back 3 or 4 sacrificing either BK or NP we’ll have to see.

This was a very good opponent with a high work rate and some tidy finishing. The same performance against a mid table side may have been a lot more competitive, not good enough but closer.

You mean professional football not a game where everything is fair like a kids comp?
As a player your job is to get it done. If the ref lets you. Game on.

Yeah super f**king disappointing. We have 3 genuine senior players. So it was either Sains, Brian or Storm calling out either Wilson and/or Theo. I’m ofcourse just assuming but given theo and Wilson weren’t in the squad and are fit….. It has to be one of them. We’re in the shit, we need players rowing the boat collectively. We can’t handle stragglers. No dickheads aloud.
I like that Jacko said he wants to make moves in January. We need it, only one or two. Mainly a genuine goalscorer. Makes me hopeful, but I’m not expecting a lot. I hope Charlesworth makes something possible, he’s seen what happens with some injection of genuine quality.
