It’s not really fair to punish good performances with continued non progression. It eventually demotivates every one.

There are similar scenarios in the workplace where people are not promoted or denied development moves because they are so damn good at their jobs.

In the short term you may get a loss of productivity in transition but not to promote is unfair to people and not a good a work practice. I believe there are similar parallels to football.

We have Garang for two more months, one which is lost with the World Cup break. Just blood him I say, what have we got to lose?

I got over my constant calf and achilles issues five years ago by rest, proper football boots with a heel lock (thank you ASICS) and redoing my orthotics.

Asics are the go. Heel locks make my ankles and knees get super cranky.

How old were your orthotics?
