ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Rd 5: Mariners V Phoenix

Friday night 7:30 kick off ... not sure if they have player suspended or what but they are a very hard nut to crack on their home turf...

Given it must be a 5:30 kick off local time I guess many people in offices in the city may wander down to the match...

Hopefully we are at full strength and Musty is fit ... I was a tad worried tho I saw him limping after the match on Saturday...

I hope I am correct in saying that Phoenix are losing their grip on creating a fortress on their home turf. Sigmund is definitely out. I am predicting a win for us.

Unless the other teams can start knocking Brisbane off, the realistic goal for everyone (i.e. not Brisbane) is probably to make the finals now. Kickoff 5:30 AEDT is pretty farkin annoying!

yep....should never have Phoenix at home on a Friday night because of teh time difference. Just because it's 7:30pm for them...it's 5:30pm for us...and would be 3:30pm if they were playing Perth. At least if the games are played on a weekend, the Aussie football fans are likely to not be at work or on the way home from work. Strange scheduling by FFA/Fox (or have I completely misread the start time?)

I am sure its 7:30 for us and 5:30 for them... my understanding is the ROF (Nix home ground) is not too far from the Wellington CBD ... maybe the plan is too see if they can get a lot of office workers to wander down after work as a start for their Friday night out...

It seems weird being matchday and no line-ups posted, but I guess it would be a huge surprise to see any change to last week's starting XI. Only question is whether Porter gets a bench spot or not. I don't really mind who gets that last spot out of him and Pelle.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hearfield getting a good run if the opportunity arises, he has impressed me with his little cameos so far this year.

Just keen to see

- McBreen carry on from last week
- Midfield diamond to 'click' (especially Olly and the Glinch)
- 3 points
