RD 19 Mariners V P Ants

Will Kim be cleared to play or do we have to send down the white pointers...

Difficult job for PM with new players in the squad playing away in front of what I think will be a decent home crowd... and the P Ants are starting to find form with the new coach...

They've not lost at home in their last 4? 5?

Them by a few.
Are United really going so well?
Rd16 home draw against Heart
Rd17 away loss to Nix
Rd18 away win against Shambles fc

I wonder how the new guys are gelling in training. If Kim gets his ITC (or visa or finds his luggage or whatever the hold up is) he might make a big difference.

Draw if Kim does not play, a win if he does. ;)

They belted us last time down there and they've got better since. Even if Kim does play (and I hope he does), there will be a gelling problem for a while, just like with Marcos.

I sincerely hope the boys are thoroughly disgusted with themselves after the victory game and fire right up and deliver the barrel boys a touchup...MOntys back, Fast Eddie should have most of his wind, AC will be stoked that Montys back...and if Kim plays, all the better...NOW, if we can play Simon and Dukes at the same time...that would be good

The third of the trio of tough games and we lost the first two. They belted us last time but only after McBreen stuffed up two gilt edged chances. They are building up a head of steam with their players clearly enjoying playing under Gombau. We, for obvious reasons, have no momentum and struggle for consistency. Welcome back Monty; I hope Kim plays and I would be starting Duke instead of Simon. I am hoping for a good result but can't pretend to be confident.

I think the combo of Hutch and Monty is the one to go for at the base of midfield, I'd like to see how we go with a really flexible front 4 with Ibini, Duke, Fitzgerald and Simon allowed to run riot. As long as the defensive structure is tidy and sorted, we should be looking to be adventurous at the other end, because that's where the bigger problems are.

I think this game will be a tight one. We got smashed last time because they surprised us with a breaking of there usual tactics of poses ion and implemented some long balls which we were not ready for. They also had some luck with that ball that went out and they still scored.

My tip - Bosnar to score a free kick. He came very close last week 3 times.

Central Coast Mariners' recruit Kim
Seung-yong to make A-League debut
against Adelaide United
South Korean recruit Kim Seung-yong has been cleared
to play for Central Coast Mariners in Friday night's
clash with Adelaide United.
The Mariners have confirmed the highly-rated forward
was given the green light overnight and will be
available for the round 18 match at Hindmarsh
Stadium.
Mariners coach Phil Moss says he is delighted to have
Kim join his side, having shown very promising signs
over the past 10 days in training.
"He has looked very sharp on the ball and has fitted
into the group very easily," he said.
"He is an extremely humble guy, and believes in our
culture that everything is about the team rather than
the individual."
Moss had hoped to use Kim in last week's 3-1 home
loss to Melbourne Victory, but admits his time on the
sidelines has been beneficial.
"In hindsight, the time it has taken for him to get
cleared may have in fact helped him settle in," he said.
"He watched the game last weekend from the stands,
and that gave him an understanding of what he can
expect in Australia in terms of the pace, style and
physicality of the league.
"People will also need to appreciate that Kim hasn't
played 90 minutes since early December, so it will take
a little time for him to reach his best.
"We're sure that over the coming month Kim will show
his qualities."

Excellent I was worried when the In's & Out's still had him as awaiting clearance as late as last night.

I think we should play with no striker & learn the Del Piero Roll just around the outside of the box & then let Eddie do the rest. That would be playing to our strengths.

f**k it if we get fouled in our own half we should let him have a crack

1. Yes
2. No just perfect execution - It's funny when the ref's don't call the foul he gets up & looks at the ref like what are thinking I'm Del Piero & we learn this in world cup training
