Ended up staying at Hotel Gosford near the train station because of a bundle making it super cheap.

Food in that Hotel is good.....also if you look at shop a docket online they usually have 2 meals for 1 deals
Nice Chinese next door.
Lovely Korean BBQ over the road near ANZ bank.
Jump on a bus and get off at the swimming pool for Monti ashore (battered sav)
Kibble park has 2 excellent restaurants. Pinocchio pizza and wine bar and Byblos leb.

Buses go from out the front of Imperial Shopping Centre and jump off when you see Elanora Hotel at East Gosford. 5 min trip. Make sure front of the bus says Terrigal, Avoca, Erina, Kincumber, Green Point, Bateau Bay, Forresters Beach, The Entrance.

Gossie Hotel does good meals.
A few of the Bay16 boys had a feed at the Korean BBQ before the game & rated well worth a trip.
There's also Joe's Pizza just up from the GH where your staying, many a Yellow Army meeting had in there

If @Holy is still up for a lend of some bikes (& a lock if he wants them back)
- I reccomend that Gosford to Woy Woy ride as a leisurely thing to do post game Monday (if you're both NOT hung over that is ) .... or Tues.
Great scenic ride that showcases one part of the Brisbane Water, mostly flat & a relaxing pedal.
Start out down at the Gosford Sailing Club then head off down behind the Olympic Pool, over the bridge past the Stadium then turn left at the Gosford RSL (just past McDonalds).
Go right down the end of the RSL's St & the bike path picks back up and will take you all the way round the waters edge (there's a small section that by passes the Houses that have waterfront properties).
Back onto it where it opens up to the expansive Woy Woy Bay, where it will finish at the Woy Woy wharf.
There you've got a choice of Fish'n'Chips, complete with it's resident Pelicans in the park, with the park that overlooks the netted off swimming area for a dip if you care.
Or there's the Gnostic Cafe for a feed or just a coffee (which I've been to a few times and enjoyed) with its 'sister' Hippy/Spiritual Clothing/Candle/Bookstore up the street a few shops.
Heaps of ecclectic stores in & around there to perouse.
Or there is the Bayview Hotel which has awesome Pub Grub.
Actually I think there might even be bike lockers, (there was- don't know if still there ?) over the road from the Bayview Hotel outside the train station
On the way back, take a lap around the Adock Park centre, go around the back of the cycling velodrome & baseball nets & there is a path/walkway for a quick little trip through the mangroves., before back to Gosford
See what you think of Adcock as a possible redevelopment for a Mariners training Centre if when MC sells to new owners

.... great at an hour or half or so before sunset, out on the deck looking out over Brisbane Water (like you see on the TV during games, as its the building in the background behind the Palm Trees)

After emerging from one of the toughest periods of his career, Connor Pain is determined to keep up that winning feeling.
The Central Coast Mariners ended an agonising 327-day, 19-game winless streak with a dramatic victory over Melbourne City and now have the chance to go back-to-back when they host the struggling Brisbane Roar today.
Pain, who scored the opening goal in his side’s shock 2-1 win over City, says the Mariners didn’t dwell too much on the win, instead turning their focus to the Roar.

Another win today will see the Mariners lift off the bottom of the A-League ladder, but Brisbane — on a nine-game losing streak themselves — will be hurting after their 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Melbourne Victory.
“Our thoughts turned to Brisbane Roar pretty quickly and the challenges we’ll face against them. We would love to go on a bit of a run now and hopefully beat them and make it two from two,” Pain said.

“With them not doing the best it doesn’t really make a difference. I think they’ll be looking for a reaction after the performance the other day against Victory, so I think they’ll be looking to bounce back and it’s always quite difficult to play against teams that have come off a loss. “We just have to focus on ourselves and make sure we do the best we can.”
While Pain says he didn’t let the Mariners’ shocking run affect him too much, it did force the players to take a big look at themselves.
“We were the only ones who could get ourselves out of the hole we put ourselves in,” he said.
“I think losing is as much of a habit as winning is and it’s a bad habit to get into and one I’m glad we’ve broken. We’re all just hoping we kick on from here.”
Relief was the overriding emotion when the final whistle sounded against City, but it was the feeling of being a winner again that Connor hopes to keep up.
“Going down to breakfast in Terrigal was nice — going down a winner,” he said.
“Obviously we want to keep that feeling going and there’s no reason why we can’t.”

I have no idea what to expect today. I honestly felt more sure of a win on Wednesday.
A win today would be amazing and puts beating the Jest within our grasp - not to mention getting off the bottom.
I'm worried that we'll drop against an 'easier' team and they'll take advantage of us.
Or maybe I'm still emotionally exhausted from Wed
