Someone on reddit was posting about track work. I’m not sure if it affects part of the trip closer to the ground but best to check it out.

Hoping I’ll be pleasantly surprised but the above is what I’ll think we’ll see. With Jair only be a sub not starting.

Maybe just 433 again with Simon out and Stens or Kim in too.

What I’d like to see is our liability at LB fixed. Been very happy with Kye central but Fox had several good games before he was dropped, so I’d still be willing to try miller Ziggy Fox Rowles.

I think the only way we have much of a chance against Sydney is if everyone plays at their best, Sydney doesn’t, and Staj out coaches Corica.

I’d rather that than trying to make Simon work. He’s a passenger against far less effective teams. At least SS or Oar have the speed to look for the space behind Zullo or Grant when they get forward if we can play the ball to them (on the ground or in to space). Matty will look for a penalty that we’ll never win against Sydney or maybe pop up in a set piece, we can’t afford to have him along for the ride for those moments.

I’d say your right; it will be very interesting tactically.

You know, thinking about this game for us, Sydney would be expecting us to play either 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 as you’re mentioned.

I’d be inclined to play something a little left field, as we have nothing to lose.

What about playing a 4-4-1-1 and take the game to Sydney right from kick-off.

Using this formation I think would give allow us to control and maintain possession, something you can see we have been working on; transition easily from defence to midfield, then midfield to attack and allow DDS to be a more creative and dynamic in attack. If Jair is fit enough, I’d start him and see if we can get in front early. I have no faith in Simon scoring.

Duric and Kim are our best players on the ball, and their job would be crucial to us dictating the game, especially early on. I’d get them to come and collect passes from Ziggy and Rowles. Then use passing triangles either with each other plus Ziggy/Rowles to work up through the midfield if there is space or use SS / Oar down either side looking for opportunities to find space and outnumber the Sydney defence on a particular side. I have often though DDS is much better when 1. He is central and 2. Is predominately used as an attacking weapon. For mine, he has been dropping too deep so far this season to pick up the ball and been working too hard to be effective which is why he only lasts 60 mins.

Subs become crucial, and if we could be in front at 60mins, I’d be looking to pull Duric and Kim and bring on GG and Stens and go into a 4-2-3-1 with DSS dropping back for more defensive stability. I wouldn’t expect Jair to last longer than 60, so hopefully he has done his job by them and we can bring on Matty to be a nuisance for the last part of the game.

We are on our way to the game on the bus and really not sure what to expect tbh. Hoping the two weeks Staj has had to prepare will pay dividends and the boys are fully primed and focused for this one.

Personally, there’s not many better feelings as a fan than turning over Bling FC

Yeah...i was a bit critical of his first few games, but he progressed really quickly and was just solid. There has to be something else going on - it can't be based on his field performance. Clisby....has GOT to sort himself out this game or South Gosford are just going to run circles around him.
