R7 - Glory v Mariners: The Dawn of a New Era

Looking to get back into the 6 (albeit with a game still in hand) and a new coach looking to make his mark.

Thoughts? Do you think Mossy will make any major changes to the lineup? Would Wee Mac and Roux be available following the WC qualifier on Wednesday?

Wee-Mac from the bench. Danny should also be from the bench. Start Matty up front, Duke and Fitz on the wings.
Start Roux. Siep seems good quality as a CB but not so much going forward on the wing. We need him.

And, honestly, love to Hutch, but after last week, maybe... maybe give Anthony a crack? Maybe. Just thinking out loud. If Mossy wants to do some changes.

a win puts us back at third spot so it's not too bad, obviously then we go back to being a game behind though till we play Wellington but if we win a couple in a row now we're right back up there
Mossy spoke of hating losing and Monty saying there's a huge desire in the team to right the loss, also the new manager thing, so hopefully the slow start is over. hopefully. the quality is there, the team and coaching staff know what they're doing so there's every reason to believe.
enough waffling.
McGlinchey and Storm straight in I reckon. in the past McGlinchey has come back firing from WC games. Matty and McBreen on the bench, also Caceres with plans to bring him on.
McBreen and Flores need more time working together before starting together and I think Matty can be great but I'm liking what I see from Dukey too much to bench him especially some of his combos with Flores. Sterj has been great too, I'd consider him starting in place of Fitzy and bring Fitzy on full of running at the 60

They have had an extra week and might have been very good in training.

Yeah, he has been good with Flores. If McBreen can gel like that too......:headbounce: Don't forget Flores is classy enough to have won the JW medal. If those three can work well together - look out!

Needless to say really but a critical game. We need to get back on track quickly or it could all fall apart.

Shame it's not at home as we generally don't play well in Perth. Hate to say it but 0-2. Hope I'm very wrong....

I hope your wrong to!!!!!

They did take us to school last year but I expect us to bounce back with weemac and storm boy back and am predicting a 2. 1 to the yellows.

Glory's season has been pretty average IMO. If you have a look:

Away loss AU 3-1
Away draw NEW 0-0
Home win MHT 1-0
Home win SFC 1-0
Away draw WEL 1-1
Home draw AU 1-1

Average results against average teams and only one goal a game. I think we have a good chance of three points.

It's a really interesting time IMO. Mossy will come in with new ideas, and will give different players a bit of a run. Every No. 2 out there has ideas about what they could do better/differently in the top job. We need points here, but as long as there are good periods where we show evidence of getting that consistent attacking swagger back, I'll be happy. We've spluttered a bit so far, now we need to gun it. If that means we concede a bit, I don't actually mind. As long as we are adventurous going forward, I'll take that.

Passfield is good, but he just doesn't inspire confidence, and we look nervy passing it around. Reddy actually brought a calmness to the back line that we haven't had this year. They'll will take stock from this and start to command that area better. I want them to oowwwn the back, be a bit arrogant, crunch someone. Midfield is doing alright, but the consistency of movement we had last year, which was almost clockwork at times, hasn't quite happened. It will, and hopefully it's this week. Up front I have no idea what will happen.

3-1 to us.

Nobody really does, that does't mean you can't respect what he has done on the field recently. And if he's performing better than Pasfield then he deserves the start.
