My thoughts.
1st half we were more calm and controlled and showed some decent structure but the backs were sloppy as usual and we had no grunt up the middle. We were lucky to only be 1.0 down.
Second half was completely different and we were the better side. Still nieve at the back sometimes but with Monty like a mongrel dog Adelaide gave up the middle and Taveras helped us control the middle and we started to probe well down the flanks. Taveras will be better to know he can't be lazy in future...good coaching Paul.
Roy goal was class as was Connors.
Izzo is a new man....well played son.

It felt great to see Powell be able to come off and be replaced with an experienced and talented player in Liam Rose. Berry will only get better with time and was pretty capable today. If we can add an experienced ten and maybe another former Young Socceroos midfielder we will be more than ready for a real tilt at the title next year.

Love Rose and I think Powell is struggling to make an impact - though he's disciplined, well rounded and works very hard for the team. But I don't think that fits with what Okon is saying... Playing best football in the comp etc... and we're consistently improving and coming off the back of a win...so I don't see him dropping Powell anytime soon?

He looked like he was carrying a niggle at the end though. He busted a gut that game. Likeable player in that regard.

Anyone catch Okons presser , clarified on Taveres and how much he rates him - makes that secret agent or whoever it was stuff about Okon wanting to punt him clear bullshit and mischief making. Okon strikes me as a very long way from being deceptive or a double talker.

How good was Okon snarling at the fourth official. Lmao. And he took responsibility for our first half - said he probably made them too timid. This is looking like a very, dare I say even berry, good appointment.

Once again an slightly improved but still a bit piss poor 1st half...and then, Im guessing, the wrath of Okon descended (or the evil of Ivan) and the 2nd half was outstanding, I been to Dublin and the fish and chips are bonz, BUT that was the best chip Ive ever seen an irishman produce, Royo the boyo you are awesome-ish....I been saying since Galloway showed up that Connor has been jumping out of his skin, but were he was keeping that foot eludes me, what a cracking shot, im still buzzing (as is the rest of the coast I would imagine) the various viewing spots (CCLC , Sidelines at Erina etc) would of gone of like we won the GF again I reckon, maybe someone can confirm, Now to Monty , I was thinking he might of ended up in the red , he seemed a yard slow and angrier than usual, this maybe his last season, ya think ?

Faty was the best of the back 4, his distribution is class. Pretty ordinary defensively in the first half, we could have been 2 down in the first 20 but its about time we got some luck! Woo hoo!
