ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I thought the same of Neill after seeing him at Pluim in the pre-season game. Here's hoping we're both right, and that if he develops into an A-League star that we are able to keep him for a few more years until we get the silverware again. :)
He looks a real talent. I really hope he gets a run in the team this year. Along with Poss, Storm, Ando, Caceres, Tricky, Dukey,Fitzy, Morton, Kalick, Liam Rose, Griff 2, Verrnes, Cernak...we have a really young side with heaps of potential. Chuck in a handful of tough, experienced heads(Monty,Hutch, Reddy, Matty) and all we need right now is a couple of players with proven quality. I would love someone upfront like Keogh at Perth, and maybe someone of the quality of Wilko at the back. If we can get all this together then we can be a great side, maybe not this season but next.

I'd f**king *love* to know how they were robbed.

Seriously, FFS. How many times did Monty win the ball cleanly in the middle of the park only to have the numpty in blue blow his whistle - after the last one (where Monty made a very conservative block tackle that the WSW player ran into and fell over) I thought he was going to hit him. Quite unbelievable. Shouldn't be allowed out without his guide dog.
That one had me yelling too loud, again! And my wife yelling at me to stop yelling, the neighbours will think we're fighting!
Neill showed that his City game was an aberration and he's actually the real deal.
He sure shows some very hopeful signs of class.
Reddy, excellent as usual (aside from the weeeeeeird one where he came for the ball and it went straight through his arms - a few people might've needed a change of trousers after that)
It was a "shhheeeeyiiittt" moment, for sure.
We're still improving (last night was another step forward) so I'm not going to write off our season. We're not going to win the league, but we're going to be an uncomfortable, unpredictable opponent.
I think the signs are there for us to be a formidable opponent, if not a feared opponent. Over at the WSW forum a few of the wiser heads are saying that CCM are very capable in the midfield, and their defence, while not as good as previous years, is still a force to be reckoned with, but that we lack the finishing touches in offense. The numpties, well, they are saying that the "Sea Bogans" parked the bus, and that WSW were robbed, and that WSW should have won by 3 zip. meh! :p

That was my first thought...then I remembered it is a midweek game = good crowd after all.
Yeah, but the *big* drawcard was the presentation of the AFC Cup to the home fans. There should have been a full house for that, Wednesday notwithstanding.

Moss knows his teams limitations and we play in a manor that brings the opponents back to our level . We play a spoiling game never pretty to watch but can get results so results are what counts at the moment and that is what the coach and the players are giving us. If you want entertainment an a better quality of football maybe we will have to wait a couple of seasons.

Much better fight for the shirt last night like we saw in the City game.Performance was better as well.
I'm still not convinced wish Rose at CB.I love him,but he has no right foot and looks really uncomfortable whenever he has to use it.
I'd love to see Neil at RB (Which I think I read some time ago he is quality with both feet) Posc and Ando in the middle and Rose at LB.When storm comes back.....well we have good competition for places.
I think Sim needs a rest.He impressed me pre season and early on but has been average lately.Maybe Tricky to start and Caceres out wider in the Sim role just to see how it goes.Caceres has the ability to beat players 1v1 which I think last night Sim showed he lacked.
People can say Duke works his ass off (which he does) and it's all happy days, but the reality is he needs to start scoring goals.Way to many times he looks stiff and not relaxed. He thinks what he is going to do next, before controlling the ball and getting his head up.If Mane goes we HAVE to get whoever we get in right to put pressure on Dukeys spot in the 11.Maybe that will bring out the best in him.
Not there yet,but better then what we've dished up early on.

That shot he had in the penalty area at 50.20 with only Covic to beat was really a nothing shot, soft and directed straight at Covic, although Covic did move smartly right with his right hand raised. A little higher, harder, and it *might* have found the net. I think that was our best scoring opportunity missed. However, to give him some credit, he was rushing it, and it was off his right boot - is he a natural right or leftie?
