ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Just released by the MRP:

In or around the 64thminute of Central Coast Mariners’ match against Wellington Phoenix on Friday 17 April 2015 an incident involving Liam Reddy(Central Coast Mariners). The Player has been cited for the incident and a show cause notice has been issued (theNotice). The Player has until 12:00pm Tuesday, 21 April 2015 to make submissions in response to the Notice. The MRP will reconvene tomorrow afternoon to consider the Citation Incident and any submissions filed by the Player.

Anybody know what happened?

Yeah, he seemed to use his elbow on the face of some deserving Kiwi player, or something. Probably something that should have happened to all the Kiwi players considering the unpenalised kicking they gave all our players.
I hope that it was mcglinchey

Just saw the replay. Yeah, he could be in a bit of trouble, stupid stuff. Wasn't that hard an elbow though....no idea how they all missed it.

I'm not defending the elbow, but, to my mind there ought to be some level of consideration for how the Kiwi was bl**dy almost bear-hugging Reddy to get to the ball... What was he supposed to do? They'd just scored, it's our ball to kick off, if you want to celebrate with the ball, you make sure you get to it before the goalie.

But then, the ball was out-of-play, isn't that supposed to mean that there can be no sanctions from the ref? ;) :innocent:

Out for two matches:

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) - consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Alan Contini and Alan Davidson - reconvened today to consider the following Citation Incident from Round 26 of the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 Season:

1. An incident involving Liam Reddy (Central Coast Mariners) in or around the 64th minute of Central Coast Mariners’ match against Wellington Phoenix on Friday 17 April 2015. The Player was cited by the MRP in accordance with the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations (Regulations). In reviewing the incident during this afternoon’s meeting, the MRP took into consideration the submissions lodged by Central Coast Mariners. The MRP determined that the Player committed the offence of R2 – Assault on a Player against Louis Fenton and proposed a sanction of two (2) matches, being the Mandatory Match Suspension plus one (1) additional match. This is the minimum sanction for such an offence under the Regulations.

Does FFA Cup count, or even pre-season games against HAL opponents? ie. Do we start next HAL with a substitute?

I don't think the MRP would have made a decision yet.....?

Far worse elbows have had shorter suspensions. Though you'd accuse the MRP of consistency the day you'd accuse Abbott of honesty ;-)

. when we saw the incident during the game ... we figured he'd be in trouble. which then turned the discussion to 'does this bring in to play reddy's last chance deal?'

. in the end we decided the deal was done with arnie and is now ancient history.

. personally (and unfortunately) i still see reddy as an angry man full of spite. i think in the last couple of seasons he has contributed well to the mariners on the pitch - in some ways i think he has done well to suppress, what i see as, natural aggression for so long

. i suspect many will think of this as a 'nothing incident' ... but i won't be complaining about somebody copping a couple of weeks suspension for it

His old man was a RL Hardman. He wasn't brought up to be soft.
He has been our best player for 2 years on the trot.
He deserves our respect and gratitude imho.
