Shabow picked up a bit of an injury at training on Thursday. Pain, even though named in the 18 was sent to train with Pearce, McDonald and Hoole with the youth squad (even though they can't play in the NPL). Nisbett will start, and a good chance the bench will be Gauci, Kekeris, Glassock, M'womba and Miller. Only change will be if Shabow recovers sufficiently and Pain is called back to squad.

I can't get behind the club putting Pain on the outer after everything he has put in over years of rubbish around him. If the club is pissy that he's been linked to WM that's being petty and very different to say the Millar situation. Unless he's done something silly like Hoole?

So at the moment you're saying Pain will be one of the two to be omitted? If that happens who starts on the wing? Mallon left and Millar right? How do we put Millar above Pain?
edit: Also does that mean we're intending to shoehorn Melling, Jem, Mcglinchey and Nisbet in to our midfield? Clisby to get a start in place of Rowles?

Side note: With Miller from youth getting involved the confusion with Millar is going to suck.

Pain needs to start. He's put in nearly every game this season. Dropping him because he signed somewhere else would just show how poorly run this club is at the football level. Mcglinchey refused to come back this club until Wellington said bye bye, how is that better than Pain going to WM. Nisbet should start over Mcglinchey, who in any case isn't good enough as shown whenever he's played.

We’re almost certainly going to lose... but...
I’m actually really looking forward to getting another look at Kekeris and Nisbet playing at HAL.

Even now and how bad we consistently are, I still loathe the off season more than the on season. Just love our ground. Seeing friends and fam and having a few laughs and a few rants at the game.

You say that like he’s been consistently our best since he joined. He was f**king dogshit inconsistently albeit consistently anonymous up until this season. All I’m saying is many of us have probably been carried away with just how good he’s been in this dogshit team this season. For how good he’s been, still only 4 goals. For how good millar has been, he’s a basic as f**k dodgy technically player but a powerful runner and sometimes witty in the final 3rd. Pain may have already signed with west Melb so perhaps Mulvey is finally going to blood players that could be here next season. Although I know that sounds contradictory with Millar still starting.

I think you might be being a bit harsh about his previous performances but I’m hardly suggesting he’s the best wing in the league. One of the reasons he has been popular and deserves better if this is about a signing is how he’s worn his heart on his sleeve and appears to genuinely care when plenty of others haven’t given the team and supporters that level of respect. He’s also one of the few on our team that have been creating goals from open play.
