ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Lewis Coral many years ago…

So we are faced with some questions are we Coastie till I die OR Coastie till we loose.

The Nix not a side that normally draws a good crowd, plus it’s on the box.

Massive changes in the squad and this year we have not had a bunch of talented kids to replace those lost… and all other sides are considerably stronger most with better coaches as well..

Then who can forget our clever PR and Marketing rep in MC in enticing in his own way Coasties to flood into Bluetounge…

The Nix are playing well, we have a very new squad… and then there is the DM’s with what two to choose and what system to use.

Let’s hope despite all that has gone wrong this year we are not the Coastie till we loose.. and we get a decent crowd to cheer on the boys…

Always remember and they are both sea creatures... http://www.panicaway.com/never-give-up

Still a game or two to go before we play better.

However we have been mixed against the nix.

1-0 (100 shots from the six yard box) win at NSO
1-1 - Ah McBreen you fluffed it again. Should have been sent to China as dog meat after this game.

We should copy the heart & man mark Hernades out of the game. Hutch could try it but I highly doubt we will change our structure even for something like this

Exciting game, we will get to see Kim get a good run, new guy sim have a crack at left back

The question for moss is roll the dice with ibini and caceres or stick with old faithful hutch and sterj.

I'm sure the forum will be unanimous in hoping duke gets the nod and he can put one in and get himself some form.

Storm ---- ando ---- bosnar ---- sim
------- monty ------- caceres --------
--- ibini ------- Kim --------- fitzy ---
–-------------- duke ------------------

or

Storm ---- ando ---- bosnar ---- sim
------- monty ------- hutch --------
--- sterj ------- Kim --------- fitzy ---
–--------------- Duke ------------------

We can Procastinate over formations and systems ad nauseam like in the adelaide thread , which may be great for getting highscore on sony playstation football manager but I would honestly just settle for us to play some watchable football againts the phunix.

More then 2 passes strung together that atleast explore/probe the oppositions defence not just knocking it around the back and shitting ourselves when pressed. Remember Zwaanswijk's diagonal long balls to rose and pedj down the flanks in space to keep them honest. Midfielders/forwards taking players on and winning one on one duels, Duke atleast had a dig in the dire circumstances last week, to be honest weve lost talent that did this, Bernie is one left still capable, Caceres too but his passing and tendency to go missing is a worry. Passing with some conviction that find their man and touches on the ball of equal measure and finally some energy off the ball and in defence we're looking lethargic.

Im wondering if lethargy is why our backline is looking shaky also. I could be wrong but it appeared to me our two big tired CB's getting caught out a lot and not atleast for the moment working well with the fullbacks. In Bosnars defence though he has had to come in to cover others failings often.

What's the point of a forum if not to debate things ad nauseam? :innocent:

Yes, I want to see more of Kim, I hope he's as good as we think he is.
I like the look of Duke at CF. I think he's wasted on the wing. What position did he play in the youth squad?
Simon can sub on later when his energy can trouble tired defenders.

What' going on with Trifiro?

Still waiting for the following sub,,

Sim on ... Simon off
Would love to hear Harper deal with that tongue twister, but would prefer "it was simon putting sim on goal moments after sim came on, but Simon was on target with sims deflecti...on?"

He's not a winger's bootlace. He's got the shits with playing out there as well which has apparently led to a falling out with Moss.

He didn't play youth last weekend. He was told he was playing all through the week, only to rock up on the day and be told he's not playing anymore.

Youth league Duke was a central 9, which he clearly prefers and is better at. Moss has played him there as often as possible but before ibini came back sterj was the only other player for right wing and Simon scored once a few weeks back so has started in 9 ever since... Let's hope duke scores and puts matty back on the bench, leave the wing to ibini and sterj
