ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Merrillie and I will be there, as we are on a 4-day getaway in BrisVegas.

The stadiums posted look magnificent, AND Lang Park is great, but sorry, the Melbourne Cricket Ground runs rings around them all, including the stadia being constructed in Sud Effrika.

Also, as regards the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE, where exactly do the Maracana, Monumental and Centenario rank? Yeah, they are old, but surely the extraordinary Maracana is in the top 3? And, YES, I have checked Rio's latitude on Google Earth, and it appears to sit right on the Tropic of Capricorn, about the same latitude as Rockhampton.

I will admit the stadia linked by Mick are amazing, as are Ellis Park in Jo'burg and Newlands in Cape Town. Whilst talking World Cup, I wonder how teams will prepare for playing on the High Veld in Johannesburg and Pretoria (and to a slightly lesser extent, Vodacom Park in Bloemfontein).

Will hopefully be up in Brisneyland depending on work commitments.
One thing said for Lang Park, must be one of a very few grounds with its' own church inside the grounds.

Jetstar currently have $39 dollar flights to Brisbane.  $49 if you want to check in luggage.

There are two flights, both pretty early on the sunday morning.  Still pretty cheap if you ask me.

You can catch the airtrain to Milton Station from the airport.  You'd have to change a central though.

There is a pedestrian walkway directly from the stadium to the station. The next closest rail station is Roma Street

I think you can get the "Airtrain" to Roma St. for about $13, takes about 27 min.

From memory it's a short cab ride from there to Caxton St (Pubs near the stadium); may even be walking distance.

Train info: http://www.airtrain.com.au/

Looks like the airtrain goes direct to roma st. (no changing trains needed) but doesn't go to milton. Still close enough.

Yes, it goes straight to roma st, and its a 10 min walk from there, max :)

Though allow at least a couple of extra hours to make your way from Caxton St to the stadium...
