ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Probably too soon for Balotelli vs time wasting FC

. Far too often players get away with them for the first 30+ mins and will tell the ref it’s my first one like they’re supposed to get a freebie. Last time I checked a goal is worth the same the whole game so why does the policing change?
.
This is my pet peeve with time wasting.

For 85 minutes they let goalkeepers and set pieces take minutes to take a goal kick or corner and then in the last 5 minutes it's like they dropped food on the floor and want to implement the 5 second rule.

If you don't hurry them along in minute 20, you have set the expectations and as long as they aren't going past that late in the game you shouldn't change how you ref it mid game.

The answer is stop letting the early ones slide. No rule changes needed just better use of the ones they have. Far too often players get away with them for the first 30+ mins and will tell the ref it’s my first one like they’re supposed to get a freebie. Last time I checked a goal is worth the same the whole game so why does the policing change?

Once it starts costing sides red cards more frequently they’ll save them for when they really need to foul.
I think it was Brattan the other night who said to the ref 'it's my first foul'. It makes no difference. You don't get a free one. If it's a yellow it's a yellow no matter when it happens.

We were out played by a team that hasn’t won a game yet for good periods of the match. Kuol isn’t top scorer I’m pretty sure it’s now Owen Goal.

I’ll congratulate Steele on his goal as it was well taken and good anticipation. One goal doesn’t solve our midfield issues though and they were there to see for 80 minutes. What is concerning is Alfie now on 4 yellows. When he doesn’t play we will see how much work he actually does.

DPC my MOTM as well, I’m glad we have stuck with him even after a few errors. Sains seemed to take some chill pills and calmed down and his game was better for it.

Wilson needs more game time, I liked him playing up top with Kuol. Was nice to see how much the goal meant to De Lima. Theo has mastered the Faz flop and we were somewhat lucky Kersey was happy to give him free kicks. This hasn’t always been the case this season.

3 points is 3 points and on the Rd, I really hope we start improving as we are playing some terrible football. Our passing is some of the worst in the league this season.

De Lima’s brother with a MAGA hat
And the Black Musk-promoted MAGA hat, at that. Why would a person in Australia think it's cool to wear that in public? Combined with De Lima's reference to God in his interview, nothing against Christian religion, but placed alongside extreme MAGAism, I start to worry. I thought the club had a no DH policy. What about a No Crazies policy too?

It’s not great though. The purpose of it is to send messaging and elicit strong reactions, of which most are not going to be favourable,

Probably not the place for it.

I don't think that this policy applies to relatives.

I DO get annoyed by having to watch football players publicly expressing their superstitious devotion on TV. Football is secular.
If players want to bless themselves or raise their finger to their 'god' then it should be done before you leave the change room.

Oh that's very gracious of you not to have anything against the Christian religion champ.
Now if you don't have anything to say about the Football....jog on.
