I’ve always been a bit confused as to why Wilson is used predominantly as a winger for us, I could be mistaken but at Victory he played as a box to box midfielder & looked very promising.

I think he was well behind niz, max and Tapp. I'm sure Monty bought him in expecting one or more of them to move on a bit before they did.

Strikes a decent ball so they probably figured he could cross from wide areas.

Based on a couple of games for Vuck and watching him at training a couple of times, there is a good footballer there, just not shown it on the field for us yet.

Doesn't help that he has barely played in 2 years. Not sure how he becomes first-team ready with the odd 5 minute cameo. Look how Paull has improved off the back of a consistent run of games (that were forced.on us).

I thought it was a missed opportunity that the likes of Paull and Wilson that barely played last year, even Steeley for that matter, didn't get to play for the first 4 or 5 months of the last NPL season, get some serious game time against good standard opposition

I would prefer they fixed this before lumbering us with a second tier.

The old NSL had the youth league which swung between 18/19s (with over age players) depending on the U/20 world cup. The theory was the top players in that age bracket had 2 years of decent competition - the best of the best were in the AIS squad playing in that comp.

I used to enjoy going along and watching the upcoming talent and first team players coming back from injury. Made for a decent afternoon/evening of football.

Leagues Club showed the Bulls game. They are hit and miss. We would if we weren’t headed to the tennis.

That was a massive gripe for me too not playing NPL. Especially as they needed him and others as much as they needed a run. Surely Jacko call on that.

There is a player there but needs polishing. He might just have put himself back in vogue
