Based on peoples comments, I've come up with the three favoured starting linups fo the game on NYE. If you choose option 4, please add your preferred starting linup. Cheers

I voted for none of the above. If we were playing away it would be different - but we need to be more attacking at home and starting Hutch at DM just doesn't do it.

I would go for

Wilko--Doig--Dutchy--Rose

with Amini at DM and Perez at CAM. Amini has all the attributes to make a great DM and will enable us to build from the back better than Hutch.

I would like to see Hutch on the bench to take the DM spot when either Amini or Perez tires.

I think we need to go for a more experienced backline so Wilko gets the nod over Sainsbury at RB.

Interesting. I, like many people, would love to see Amini and Perez on the park at the same time and your lineup could facilitate that. However, do you have any concerns over Animi's lack of height and (imo) lack of (controlled) aggression?

Not really - Dutchy usually moves forward for high balls and I think Amini has shown more agression the longer he has played.

As I`ve said previously i`d prefer Doig as DM over Hutch.
Hutch may be better on the ball, as pointed out, but If you want to control Hernadez & Kruze you need someone like Doig.
IMHO he is a better defender than Hucho, better in the air, tougher & more aggressive.I don`t think his distribution is a problem & he`s a very experienced player.
With Wilko & Dutchy behind him I think he`d do a good job.

It would would also F..k Merricks game plan.

Playing Hutch is a must. He is the only one who has the experience and mungrel to mark up on Hernandez and shut down their play through the middle.

Amini would get monstered. He is a CAM and he should remain one.

lol. Come on people, pretty sure our DM, will be the currently available DM in our team.

The back four though yes is a tough call... I've gone for Doig in with Wilko wide. I don't think I could cope with watching Kruse run at Sainsbury all night and pretty cruel to put him directly up against the leagues most inform striker.

Kruse is heading off to the Asian Cup ... a couple of well aimed kicks to the shins should make him slow down and take it easy. ;-)

Anyway, Victory haven't been playing wide - Kruse will be down the middle mostly.

I definately would NOT play Sainsbury at RB. I dont have a short memory and he looks at least a year away from HAL standard.
