ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

only if you come dressed in casual, chanting, and looking for a fight

if not, welcome :)

i don't think any of us would have any issues, it seems that the FFA and the local constabulary may have a different view however.

my personal view is that if you're going to have banter, a song or two and a bevvy or four then there shouldn't be any problem.

It's unlikely that there will be no casuals or chanting, but there will be no fights.

We've contacted the Leagues Club, and they're in like flint as long as we promise not to throw glasses and chairs at you lot. Just thought I would check and make sure you're all comfortable to avoid any surprises.

From what I hear, there aren't many coming. Most likely 30-40 max.

Will there be cute boys?

I'll be there with my wife, so out of luck there. I'm bringing a mate along who's not a regular Victory supporter, so who knows... you might be able to convert him and steal him away?

Thanks for the info guys. From our contact with the club, we'll be in the sports bar rather than the Kendall, but I'll probably stick my head in and say hello. It's my first trip to Gosford, but a lot of the lads have been before and didn't think there would be problems with the two groups being at the same pub.

Looking forward to it.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he's not coming.

Been called, and they have been welcomed to the Club.

Slightly wrong on the Sports bar thing. I was said I would be happy to have you guys in Kendall, but if you felt the sea of yellow was too much the Sports bar would be open where you take kids. Your call.I have no fear of having supporters from any team in the only dedicated ALeague team bar in Australia.  :pirashoot:

As usual anything you need ask please do

Cheers Batman,

I'm happy to be in Kendall, but we'll see how things go with the general group on the day. I did have my wires slightly crossed with the person that called originally, but that's an aside :)

Looking forward to my first trip up to Gosford. Come and say hi & swap contact details if you spot me. I'll be happy to facilitate mingled drinking when you all come down to Melbourne for the next game.

Do you think it's worth me contacting local police to let them know what's going on? I've had a few too many nasty scenes in Sydney from police misinterperetation/overreaction.

Throw away, the plastic cups they use before a game won't do much damage ;)

I wish that I had been smart and asked where to drink at newcastle game this year - went to the newcastle tennis club..... almost got killed... was a nightmare about 100 scum giving it to 5 of us... ended up at the ground early drinking... clearly i have a lot to learn ...

The cruel twist of fate is that I'm going to be in Melbourne on that date........

The supporters in CCLC have always been quite welcoming to opposition supporters.  After all, we're all football supporters.

You'll find a mixture of the marinators, and more casual families spread throughout CCLC both before and after the match, which allows for a much more family-friendly atmosphere than a Sydney match provides for.

Good on you for making the trip up.

Yeah, fact finding missions are important for away trips - especially if you are in arch-rival territory and are inexperienced with the town you are going to. Of course, it's never a good idea to ask your rivals where to drink ;D

Any suggestions on where my wife and I should stay the night? I'm not really looking forward to driving back to Sydney that night if I'm having a blinder.

Depends on how much you want to spend... and proximity to the leagues club
