they've already made clear their out there - it was dealt with on the field.
if the FFA had've taken additional action, griffiths would've been looking at the same as danny.
what isn't explained is why the referee who determined that griffiths' actions were only worth a yellow continued to wield a whistle for the rest of the season with not so much as a week off to think about his stupidity, or why with such a patently obvious error made by the match official the FFA didn't take the thatcher/mendes precedent (because it's now bending FIFA, not FFA rules we're talking about) to re-open the griffiths matter.
unfortunately none of this helps danny a jot - the rules are pretty clear.
