Sheffield United keeper Paddy Kenny is facing a possible ban after testing positive for a banned drug, it was reported today.
The Republic of Ireland international tested positive for the stimulant ephedrine following last season's play-off semi-final second leg, and will now be subject to a disciplinary inquiry by the Football Association.
It is understood the 31-year-old has been suspended by his club and faces a range of possible sanctions from a reprimand up to a two-year ban.
Ephedrine is on the list of the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned substances but is contained in some cold cures, including a cough mixture Kenny purchased over the counter, and for that reason, a positive test does not carry an automatic two-year suspension.

I hope this doesn't mean Danny being "requested" by the mother club to fill in.....
