ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Am i the only one who still can’t see the contact and thought the ref and VAR were right. It was a horrible air swing and if he was takin out the player would have been having a massive sook instead of realizing he muffed it

Yep....you are on your own on that one Big Al.
Must be an optical illusion or i need to new glasses.

Good to know i pass the refereeing tryouts 😂

I am married, being wrong is just part of life

His (AU) leg is pretty straight and the WU player has wiff at it and falls over from a shocking miss. Looks like he was going through back of him but never actually does.

Ah well who cares. Swung the game for sure.

Big Al, there was a comment that the attacker kinda hops or leaves the ground swinging his leg to make his shot but on tv looks like his ‘swing’ of the foot is going to miss the ball completely.

And this is before any contact.

So does the attacker have ‘possession’ when Kitto slides through the back of him.

I believe after a few watches Kitto connects with the back leg of the the attacker after the ball was ‘away from him’.

But none the less the ball was likely near enough that Kitto still did end up bringing him to the ground with no attempt or nowhere getting his foot on the ball so either way the penalty gets awarded.

But I kinda see your point because a few people haven’t noticed the direct contact at the exact moment of the intended shot as the attacker kinda swings for his shot in a weird way, probably knowing he is going to get slid from behind.
