Official Matt Simon appreciation thread

Perth managed to contain Simon last night. Pretty much always two defenders on him. Its a good thing we're not a one striker team! It just meant we shared the goals around our other attacking players ;D

The form of Matt Simon so far this season has been a highlight, for me personally, on par with the first home game that Mark Bosnich played in. I remember in the pre-season that some suggested he could possibly be our leading scorer ... I didn't think he could be though hoped I would be proven wrong.

I remember last year standing in the bay and the players are coming up on the screen and the guy behind me was going off his head because Simon was starting and i argued with him till kick off about how good Simon was and he just needs time and support, during the match Matty proved that the other guy was right with a million missed chances, but id like to see him again and see what he says about Matty

Love that 2nd goal against Melbourne. They showed it in slow motion on fox, he must have jumped off the ground about 2 days before he headed it in. It was like the matrix, time stopped, he hung in mid air for a while, then slotted.
