ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

How do those who couldn’t wait for Sains to come into team feeling now. What ever we are paying him it’s too much.

Okon era was more exciting than this rubbish.

Even when sitting deep, no counterattack opportunities.

They have our setup to close our wing backs and flick ons and we have to go long ball Larry’s.

Will be interesting to see if we change.

Not sure what we're trying to accomplish with the Back 5, Smith and Roux either aren't fit\quick\confident enough to get forward so we're stuck in our back half.

Trent isn't a defensive midfielder and he simply doesn't have the pace to get back, and frankly doesn't look match ready.

If Trent isn't ready for signifcant minutes why are we hamfisting him into the lineup, in an unfamiliar position, and actively killing any attacking potential we have.

Sains clearly off the pace, going to take a few weeks to get match fit and dialled in. Signs of his experience in his vision and awareness of other players positions but worryingly looks well off the pace. Benefit of the doubt given his recent injury spell but if his fitness doesn't lift the bench looms...

I think it’s time to accept Sains means giving Paull or Kaltak a spell on the bench and playing the other at LCB. On current form it could be Kaltak that’s more deserving of a rest.

Last few years we played a system/systems that suited the players at the club , this year... ??? Our history shows you can only play to the level your players are up too.
This year was going to be tough we knew that , but to play a back 5 to insert players who are not up to it and then play others out of position to accomodate them is crazy ..... get possession pass sideways / backwards is not the answer , everyone can see the way sucessful teams play , to say I'm gutted is an understatement .
I believe as always ,
but at the very least get agressive , go forward , get stuck in and have a bloody Mariners go
