ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A hiding in Melb next week and how will people be feeling????????

An old thread may resurface.............

If McKinna out surfaces again its just absurd.
Clearly has made many great improvements to the squad.
He just needs his strikers to get their shit together and we'll be apples.

Seconded, I think this season was to be his biggest test thus far and he's done well.

Vidmar on the other hand... bad signings, bad football. Team devoid of any spark or style. I really think Adelaide United have been a club on the defensive, both on the field and off, ever since losing the V2 Grand Final, and need a change in culture to turn it around.

Branko is still my tip - whilst mental miron seems a logical choice, he wont get rolled by Okon before Con needs a scapegoat

Ne'er a truer word etc.

We've got a platform to go forward with.

I'm not sure that Adelaide are that dire. Some of the players coming through - Galekovic, Hughes, Leckie, Boogs next year - are the sort of players they can set a side up around. They're finally setting up a system that doesn't rely on Reid, Dodd or Pantelis to dig them out of trouble and they made the right call on Costanzo.

Like us, this isn't their year, but they're moving forward and I think through their quite good crowd numbers you can tell the fans know it.

Even Branko's starting to get a shape together up there. Bridges is a ridiculously good signing for them, Haliti's coming on like a train and if they get c**tface back then they've got an enormously potent side (even if it's a bit leaky at the back...).

Looking around the league, there's not a single outright bad side. A few are unbalanced but they're developing and nobody's shocking (notwithstanding the occasional terrible afternoon). That says to me that by and large the coaches are doing pretty well.

I tend to agree with you on this as you can see any club could win 2/3 games and be close to the top or lose a couple and be out the back door. Possibly this year will turn out to be the turning point in the stlye and substance the A League will be known for.

I dont think it would be  good for the comp if any more coaches get the flick because it just shows our league in disaray and panders to the likes of Fozzie.

I agree. (And with Dibo's post too)
I think in such a tight league, where just as we have seen, you can be bottom but still be playing some good football, beating the top teams and in shout of making the finals... That sacking coaches is more often than not, probably not the answer...

More I think it is in building scouting programs and developing young players.
