ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

No it just means he has a new ghost writer!  :piano:

Hope the new guy reads this forum .... give him a few pointers   :pirate:

The old one did too.

yeah, well ... you can only hope. I'm in the marketing industry, and the bottom line is you give your employer what they want. They sign the cheques.

I think I know where your going with this and it wasn't Bens fault for not pleasing the fans, he could only dress up and display the best with what he was given.
If you have a gripe with the current state of affairs at the CCMFC then I suggest you don't have a go at the media dude.

FYI, I wasn't casting aspersions or having a go at anybody.  I was just making a general comment. I think you are reading too much into this, it was just an opinion, dude. And I do hope the new guy does well.

Congrats to the Mariners Media Manager, Glen Lauder, who has accepted a journalist position with Star 104.5. Starts on March 11.

I'm not a media or Marketing person's a...hole, but it seems to me that the Mariners need to find a way to work with 2GO. For the last season or two any mention of the Mariners has been taboo on that station, and like them or not (and for the record, I don't), they appear to have the demographics and pulling power that the Mariners really need.

The feeling around the Coast when we were in the GF against N'castle a few years ago was fantastic! This year, nothing. Obviously 2GO is not the only reason, but IMHO they were important.

I hope that Glen is fantastic! But I am concerned that given that he is with Star 104.5, it seems clear that once again next year 2GO will not have anything to do with the Club

word is that 2GO will have the rights next season

for those who listen to star regularly like me the saturation could have not been higher

they also have a new guy on the breakfast show now that is a genuine mariners' fan and knows his stuff

I have absolutley no knowledge of media contracts or anything but I have to say it seems very strange that the mariners only deal with one station. I would have thought the game rights may be only available to one station and that makes sense but otherwise I would have thought you would of wanted coverage by every available media outlet. Only channel 9 and 2gb have rights to the NRL but you hear about it or see it and the players on every other station and channel.

I can't imagine that the local stations would be paying such a good whack to make an exclusive deal make sense, I would have thought more media coverage would be more important.
