Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

omg i cant believe the coastie boiz today, their actions were sooooo disgraceful. no wonder the game gets a bad name, it's dropkicks like this that bring it into disrepute constantly. for shame, coastie boiz, for shame.

i'm sure the players thought exactly the same thing.

Why would anybody let off flares at a youth league match?

Or at any match, for that matter?
I find it funny 2 seasons ago everyone thought it was funny when someone let a flare off in bay 16 the marinators bay but the coastie boize do it and its a shame. Yes it was stupid im not a fan of flares but to kick them out of the ground went a bit to far. whoever did it should of had the balls to admit it and left. well done but boys we could still here you from the outside and to the players well done for going over to thank them but what about the rest of the fans. Bernie MoM shows some great skill please lets keep him.

Yeah heaps guys, the players hated it aie lol

players would have been better supported and probably would have played better if you guys were in the stands and not two hundred metres away

It's no secret how much the club appreciates the Coastie Boys support, and the players rightly came over at the end and thanked you for continuing to support even after being ejected.

FFA has very strong policies on banned items, and if it was at a HA-L match, the responsible person would cop a 12 month ban if identified.

FFA has match commissioners at every NYL/WW-L/HA-L match and each club has a responsibility to ensure crowds behave.

The club was so disappointed at having to eject you guys, but we have a job to do.

We want the Coastie Boys there next Saturday as we try to claim the premiership (we only need a point) but the tifo was brilliant on its own, and there's absolutely no need to ruin it with a flare.

Get there next Saturday, get loud, but don't get kicked out, nobody wins.

Well said Glen

Personally, I am not anti flare but usually best results are gained when no one can tell who ripped it.

Contact the GGA lads, they will be able to give you tips

Not everyone; I certainly didn't and said so at the time. It's hooliganism and in a sport that fights against other football codes for media coverage it is just plain dumb to provide amunition to our game's critics.

Good post from Glen. Unequivocal and fair.
Glad we won and pleased for Bernie, perhaps he gets one of those first team contracts soon?

Flares - what a great idea!!  :headbutt:

Overnight eight fans in the away section at Bochum v Nrnberg were injured after flares were lit shortly before the kickoff. Two of them apparently went up in flames and were rushed to hospital seriously burnt.

Keep your flares elsewhere please - adds nothing but a chance for the bogan media to complain about 'sockah hooligans'  :soapbox:

BTW, just upload 2 very poor quality pics to Twitter of yesterdays events.

1st one shows flare pre yoof getting kicked out. 2nd shows the one ripped in the car park later.

More fun was had taking the piss out of scums retarded RB (who couldnt take throw ins) than could ever be had in a car park.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game.
I thought we were anything but ordinary  - except for giving that silly equalizer away - and then a 20 minute period after half time when the jets confidence was up - apart from that I think its fair to say that we totally dominated.

A little more luck and being slightly more clinical in front of goal - and we would have won by a large margin.

Bernie was terrific again, usually knows what he's going to do with ball before he gets it. Great touch - good speed. He's convinced me, I'm a big fan now. A year of training and coming off the bench etc in HAL and he'll be awesome. Sign him up, 3 year deal, sell him OS after two.

It's a good side. Really is. Lot of great players out there.

I pointed out to him how he was skinned at least ten times in that second half and he was none too pleased - even gave the crowd a spray
