ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

One of our boys (Sasha) was knocked out apparently and Tappy was punched out by the St George captain and also ended up in hospital, so pretty disgraceful behaviour.

Something like this will surely end up at tribunal, so hopefully some good will come from a very distasteful situation. If there is any justice, St George will be stripped of the points and face some sort of serious sanction.

St George player came off the bench to punch him. All captured on video. Probably emphasises the importance of videoing every Senior game where possible. Think we would have found our case difficult if we'd had to rely on the match officials given their reluctance to assert control over a game that was clearly getting out of hand.

What has happened to the boys, sorry been a bit preoccupied with the Aleague. Correct me if im wrong, but seems the NPL2 Mens team's are getting in the boys faces, trying to put them off their game.
(Will be extremely good for their development)
Mind you, that WSW game we should have been 3-1 up at half time.

It is no different to what has happened every year since the NYL team has been playing NPL2. We start the season off brilliantly and are usually top or thereabouts at the half way mark. Then other teams work out that they can't outplay us technically so they use other means to get on top - good for their development as Huddo said - not good for winning promotion. Last year was only half a season with no promotion and we finished as we have every other half season - clearly on top. This year with pressure on teams to finish top 4 for promotion teams have started to play differently against us much earlier than usual - hence our current 6th place.

This doesn't explain the capitulation against WSW who haven't beaten us since 2017 in NPL. Only Damian Tsekenis out with injury but last years Golden Boot Matt Cahill back from Hong Kong and A League player Matt Hatch in the team as well. Unable to score from some pretty clear cut chances it was ironic that the killer punch came from two goals from Reuben Awaretife - the player who we let go at the end of last season because - according to Monty - he didn't do enough to challenge for a first grade spot. 15 goals in 12 games in U20s is about as much as anyone can do to be given a chance, especially as he has now scored 5 in 7 first grade games for WSW.

yeah that’s very harsh from Monty with Reuben and he’s got that one wrong. Only seen him play sporadically but looks the goods.

Bit disappointing that the club isn't posting the NPL teamsheets or scorers anymore.

agree and we have to wait until they’re the match of the round to get a half alright report.
Possibly they don’t want to create a buzz around certain players that could be poached by rival aleague clubs. Could be way off the mark but that’s all that comes to mind as a reason for me
