ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
What is the age limit and when does it kick in. Jordon has just turned 21 but often the age is deemed to be what you were in 1st Jan. Not sure of the rules here.Interesting that smylie is named in the NPL squad...
Don’t get me wrong, love the kid and rate him.
But isn’t he “over age” now?
Good to see Balard and Tsekenis will continue their development also. Rate them highly too.
Yes and NoI believe the age limit for AL academy sides in the NPL is 23.
Yes and No
2. A-League (AL) Academy Clubs
a) To be eligible to participate in a 2021 1st Grade the player must:
i. Be born between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2005 (inclusive);
So basically it is Under 21 for this year - but you can also
b) An AL Academy Team may register players to their 1st Grade team roster who are older than the eligible age bracket as prescribed in 3.2
a) where the following criteria are satisfied in respect to that player:
i. The player was born between 1 January 1997 and 31 December 1999 (inclusive); and
ii. The player is an Australian Player as defined in the A-League & National Youth League Player Contract Regulations 2020/2021; and
iii. An AL Academy Team are permitted to list a maximum of four (4) players born between 1 January 1998 and 31 December 1999, including one (1) player born between 1 January 1997 and 31 December 1997 on the team sheet in a 1st Grade Match.
You are allowed to register up to 40 players (combined) in your 1st team and 20s roster. We have named 35 so we have the space to bring in 5 eligible A League players who can be registered at any time. Alou Kuol, Matt Hatch, Lewis Miller and Jaden Casella are all within the age limit, whilst Dan Hall,, Josh Nisbet, Kye Rowles and Dan Bouman are all born in either 98 or 99, and Adam Pearce and Danny DeSilva in 97. I'm not sure how they class Gianni Stensness as he has played for NZ but is still eligible for Australia, and Jankovic is 97 but ineligible as a foreign player.
Whether Monty brings in any or all of his allowable A League and overage players will depend on if they are required for the A League, if Staj wants to get them time on the park and if the Academy is not sitting comfortably in one of the Top 4 promotion positions.
Full time CCM 3, WSW 0
That would be a nice ideaI saw no familiar faces. Need to arrange some meet ups next time.
If you were judging coaches on today's performance, I am glad we have Monty and WSW has Patrick. WSW looked as though it was the first time they had met each other.
Both came off the bench, and by the time they came on we were 3-0 up against a team that were down to 10 men, and were heading, mentally at least, into cruise control mode for the final quarter. So difficult to make a judgement either way.how did hatch and smylie go?
