Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Only saw him play a couple of times. I believe he's one of those keepers that can produce a miraculous save and on the other hand let in silly goals. He wasn't under much pressure and looked solid on Sunday but the only goal that CCMA scored was due to his mistake.

Thanks 12th, sometimes it`s better to get the view of a spectactor rather than the view of the journo...

Totally agree with you.I'm one of those fans who doesn't judge a football game through the opinion of journos. If you just rely on how some of the press sees it, CCM weren't meant to be the 2012/13 champions . In some cases it is as if journos weren't at the same game.

Having dealt with the press for 4 years I know that some don`t even go to the games.
They get a highlight match report from the home club & write the story around that.
That`s why I`d rather a report from someone that was there (it also helps when that person is a respected member of this forum).

Central Coast Mariners Academy is accepting applications for qualified and experienced coaches for 2014.
Our teams will be entered into the Football NSW Men’s & Youth Elite 1 - National Premier League competition, Women’s Premier League and Skills Acquisition Program.
The suitable applicants will deliver the developed vision and philosophy of the Central Coast Mariners Academy, whilst providing a safe and positive environment where learning is the paramount objective. The following qualities are what are required to coach at the Central Coast Mariners Academy.
Do you have a ‘Can Do’ attitude?
Can you technically develop players to the next level?
Are your coaching sessions challenging and exciting?
Is it your ambition to coach Elite Football Players?
Will your coaching qualifications meet Football NSW requirements? (Senior Licence or higher)
Whilst the above qualities are what are required of the coaches at the Central Coast Mariners Academy, it is important that our players learn from solving problems and feel comfortable at expressing themselves. There is no secret formula in producing players, but we must give our players every opportunity to maximise their potential, and to ultimately reach the level required to play football at the ‘Academy’.
Our coaches must be able to prepare players for the demands of modern football, with a high level of technical and tactical ability. Our aim is not only to produce players who will play in future National Youth League, Westfield Women’s League or Hyundai A-League squads, but to also produce players that have a genuine love for the game and continue to enjoy playing football at any level.
Our players must look at their time at the Central Coast Mariners Academy and know that they have enjoyed a football experience like no other.
Please send your ‘Expression of Interest’ to brett.scrine@ccfootball.com.au with your Coaching CV, detailing your qualifications, experience and preferred role. Coaches short listed will be required to demonstrate a coaching session on a football problem.
Applications must be recieved by COB Friday 16th August 2013

Certainly is... Unlike last year where Tony Walmsley appointed the coaches...oh wait maybe this should be on the other thread!

Yes and look at what happened to the 12's, three players up and went to blacktown. And now there's rumours half the parents are refusing to pay last instalment on their fees because they don't reckon they've got what they're paying for. For the use of a better word, shitfight.

Gritty 2-1 over Spartans today. 18's got up but 20's lost.

Was ugly but it worked.

Now off the bottom of club championship swapping places with S Coast.

Fantastic to see Arnie, Patrick, Flores, Anderson, Wee Mac and Griffiths there to see the tram go round.

Goes without saying that theMayor was with the people too.

Very impressed by our RB, Pedj clone but with technique. Hope he gets a NYL gig.

Geez, seeing that ad makes me feel old.
I coached Brett u/6 to U/9 at Green Valley Utd in the late 70`s.
I must have done something good -, as he`s stuck with the game...

seems like things are slowly falling into place. Hopefully can avoid relegation and build upon this season's lessons next year.

Have now opened up 14 points back to Wolves, and have pulled level with APIA (though APIA have games in hand).

I heard yesterday that the mariners would not go down regardless. Wether that's seniors, youth or both, football nsw want football being played up here.

The whole point of the new competitions is that they don't do deals to protect people. I would take what you heard with a grain of salt the size of Belgium.

I heard it at lily homes stadium from a blacktown team official. He reckons they want premier league football being played up here and down south. The way it looks the academy will scrape through anyway.

Massive weekend with 18's 20's and seniors winning away t Manly.

Now 14 points clear in the club championship. Would be fantastic to make our safety certain next week in our last home game.

Interesting tweet from Matt Crowell saying that the back to back wins are what happens when you get team spirit right. Implies that it wasnt at some point.
