ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Move back to Bay 16

1. Its closer to the bar (regardless of the fact some little c**tflap knocked over my beer on purpose. Sorry, Beers. It was a tray of 4....flapface).
they started up the mobile bar before we moved. that was pretty good, except for only serving bourbon and coke which is f**king foul and makes anyone drinking it smell like an unwashed bogan.

2. Roof = YAY FOR LESS RAIN! And as LiverpoolMariners mentioned, better for acoustics.
Not sure if you've noticed, but the roof only extends as far as the upper deck. So you're only actually covered if you're under that, which most of the people who seem to be making noise from where I'm now sitting like a lazy prick in bay 35 are as exposed to the elements as they were in 16.

3. Obviously so the supporters are shown on TV, is a great visual for FOX Sports, so I can see why this is one of the big reasons for it.

's funny, I got figuratively slapped around for suggesting that this was a good thing back in the day... :p

I'm not going to blame the number of a bay for the lack of supporters and noise and crowd numbers. Thats just silly. Its up to people to MAKE the atmosphere. Be passionate, supportive, cheer, laugh, sing, bang a drum, whatever. Atmosphere doesn't just appear out of nowhere. So I say quit the whinging and be a part of the change and look toward a positive step forward in the 10/11 season for the Yellow :)

All that. It's a shame numbers have dropped off - a lot of people have sorta made their own moves away for a variety of reasons and haven't been replaced. That said, the efforts from the front crew have been great this year and hopefully lays a foundation for the future.

Oh, and reserved seating can EAD. I thought it was a neat idea and argued at length in its favour on here, but I was as wrong as you can be - it's f**ked our numbers (and therefore our noise) sideways. People don't feel as free to just rock on in like they once did. It might have got rid of the snogging teenagers crew, but that would've been removed through the packing from the front thing anyway...

I don't expect any less from you sir.

Less rain for the people at the back. The people at the front get showered in beer anyway, so a roof is not needed. Money saving on roof extension costs etc.

Yes, the idea of moving the bay purely for TV is a bit shit, but can see why it is appealing to them. I never said I liked it.

Mobile Bars: Don't count. They only served shit bourban. I'd rather drink toilet water. or Bluetongue Beer. Same thing.

I think Reserved seating, however shit it is, will always be around. Thankfully, it's not policed too much at Bluetongue. I don't even know where my actual designated seat is supposed to be... Yes, it needs to go...but realistically I don't think it's going anywhere in a hurry.

(Just watch, I'll say that and then in 4 months time...NO RESERVED SEATING!)

Clipboard lady (who is actually v nice) only acts on instructions given to the matchday ground staff by the club.

Security etc would be well within their rights to remove anyone standing outside of bay 23 if they decided to - or make them sit down.

I expect they will be quite vigilant this week given the visitors.

Edit: Vigilance will be exercised only after some dumb bogan scum decides to enter the bay nad behave like a twat (as per usual)

Ok, I totally read that as

Vigilance will be exercised only after some dumb bogan scum decides to enter the bay naked

Why not shift to the bay where everyone was standin for the last ACL game?

Cboys on the East getting a tan, Marinators on the West not getting burnt. Chants back and forth.
Could be good, but that physical green rift between the two groups would be blindingly obvious.

My mob in Bay 17 are quite happy not being showered in beer (and BBQ sauce on one occasion) every time we score.....
Come to think of it, that wouldn't have happened all that often this season anyway  :piralaugh:

Sean, I'm 99% sure the reason why was because it was right next to the alcohol-free, family bay and received heaps of complaints from the language/loudness/beer drinking/etc.

We can dream though :( that was my first choice when it was discussed pre-season.

us coasties love Derby Day/Night..

........really??  I mean, when we're playing Sydney, sure. I seem to recall a whole bunch of quite average crowd numbers for Mariners/Jets games - tbh, I think the hate against Sydney is felt more by the Coast at large than the Jets hate.

Just sayin' is all.
