ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

* How did you find the sign up process? Was it easy? Were there too many steps? Was there enough information?
Wanted to make a possible move in my seats and add on and had to phone in to achieve. The call was quick and well handled with a follow up call a few weeks latter as promised, not issues from me and good service by the office staff.

* Pricing - Too expensive? Would you be willing to pay more if you were given more benefits?
HHHHMMmmmmmm hard one as it depends on who you are and your income levels ... simply because of life I usually miss one or two games a season and this adds to the price.

* Membership Packs - What did you think of the merchandise? Would you be willing to pay less and opt out of receiving a scarf/hat etc?
Yes is the short answer we already have a shop that sells gear and a discount in place for members.

* Members Benefits - This is one thing we are looking to improve for Season 10. What kind of benefits do you enjoy as a Member? What kind of benefits would you like to see?

Well well well a great question...

For consideration ...
* Better explained and marketed Sponsors discount ... More Sponsor Discounts if possible..
*Negotiations with local clubs and bars etc for meal discounts on game nights...
* If possible have City Rail have extra security on public transport links especially the trains.
* On Derby nights say Drive Bys, Flying Circus, Scum , maybe a special extra match train ... ie first stop Hornsby ...
* Have one maybe two business nights when anyone with a bright idea can bring it to the board or an internal thing where ideas can be forwarded and most importantly feedback provided.

Some more latter back to work for now...

For what it's worth, I completely support the no free passes on big nights thing.

On NYE or in the NSW derbies, the ticket prices go up and we want to see as many paying customers as possible. If people want to see the big games, they can fork over. For WSW games there's a realistic chance of sellouts (and if SFC or Newcastle ever get their shit together, same deal for them) so I can completely understand and support the club wanting to make sure that people pay their way for those.

If people only want a taste, they can get a taste at a non-premium game. For the big ones I'm happy to see us restrict to those willing to put their hands in their own pockets.

. same philosophy should apply to the part-time members (3/6 game passes) ... give them an option to buy into the 'premium' games or not ... but don't hold seats that could otherwise be sold if they weren't being held just in case this is one of the games someone decides to go to

. incidentally i have heard of people that don't go to the 'premium' games because the bigger crowds make it more difficult with kids

Problem with a taste of a non premium for a non/casual supporter it is not likely to convert them to a regular. A taste of a premium especially the atmosphere is what tends to get them.

Yeah, but as someone on this forum said ( can't remember where/who, sorry) if you give out too many free concessions people will start expecting them and won't come when they have to fork out cash. Ergo, if someone only wants the free/reduced ticket game they won't be converted into a full paying customer anyway.

Just another mention of a request made a while back...

Most members are interested in what the club is doing, especially the COE..

A quarterly update from the Board to members, keeping us abreast of key things happening in the club and especially were the COE is up to.

True that. I was hoping to have a nice kale and quinoa salad the other day and was sorely disappointed. Will nobody think of the food snobs?

After my great gastronomic time at the ACL away trip, I'd like steam buns, dumplings, and soft noodles. Ta.

As a soon to be far member - 450km - I will be holding my season ticket and seat (why? because I enjoy the regular spot in bay 7 and the people, and can afford it).

If I wasn't, and the best estimate I can make at this stage is 4 -5 games per year, I'd take a 6 game membership.

My thoughts for far away fans:
Members card (with an extra $ option that should allow for say, a one game GA at Bluetongue during the year, and one away fixture (away bay) or two away), fixtures card, car sticker, e-newsletter, board updates, discount merchandise through e-shop, priority access to finals tickets.

^ Thanks iEatHands, I appreciate the feedback :)

We had looked at offering something for the "Sunny Side" to attract more people into that area. Do you think people would be happy to pay a cheaper price to sit in the sun?
if the club wants more members to sit opposite the cameras to give a better "look"to tv audiences, they do need to do something. paying the same for a seat as everyone else around the ground, whilst staring into that (often) blinding light is a real turn-off. I am happy to admit that WILL change once daylight savings ends...but the majority of our matches are during daylight savings so it's not much consolation. If seating prices can't be reduced, perhaps more "bring a friend for free" or giant sombrero's in Mariners colours for members sitting on the sunny side.....or perhaps free beer tickets to eliminate the dehydration effects. Agree with all the positive comments from everyone else though......outside of "the sunny side"...all is good coming to home games.
