He could have slotted it easily without hitting the defenders.. Just lacked composure...Pressure of the occasion and not scoring for a while caused him to rush the shot. His technique is not the best especially when under pressure!!

That is bull, he gave himself plenty of room to hit a shot well wide of the goals without going near a defender. It WAS shit that he hit it straight at the keeper. That should not be disputed, you should be saying, he scored 12 goals this season etc etc. But that shot WAS Shit

He has lost a little composure from his goal drought. Would like to see the minutes played without a goal. He gets more frustrated than other attackers, he does not have their composure to keep plugging away. He gets frustrated and makes the wrong choices when sometimes when looking for his personal goal. When if he was in form he would pick the right choice. He would place his shot, rather than just trying to power it in not caring if straight at the keeper.

He can do the things right, he has shown it. But he isnt doing it right currently IMO.

459 minutes without a goal in competitive matches. He scored against QLD in 81st at bluey for those interested. I dont know if he has scored in any of the friendlies we played. If he played in them.

But whereas a huy like macca does what he always does, goals or no goals. Mrdja the same. Matty does need to learn that composure.
