ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Could be there isn't enough staff available to accommodate a full stadium. Hospitality staff are in short supply and this is public knowledge. Maybe some a reading to much into this and it is more a necessity than choice.Requires less staff - security, cleaners et al. - so less cost if you close off some stadium. It'll be a small crowd so makes sense
This was why I said it made sense.Requires less staff - security, cleaners et al. - so less cost if you close off some stadium. It'll be a small crowd so makes sense
I was planning to go to this game, now I am not so sure.I reckon around 3-4k but just don't understand the reasoning behind squashing us all together in a pandemic.
80% of the people i know on the coast have tested positive in the last week, it's running wild here at the moment. The official stats being posted are inaccurate because it's virtually impossible to buy a RAT on the coast and some people are being turned away from pcr tests if they don't meet requirements. It's a 4 o'clock game in summer and people are freaking out about closing the eastern side..... there'll be 3 to 1 empty seats so you'll be more than ok with getting the virus IN the stadium (your most likely to get it arriving or leaving or visiting the loo no matter how many sides they have open, but whatever) and its a game against the reigning champions. I'd be there if I still lived in the coast.
Understand Dobbie, and very valid and rational thinking.80% of the people i know on the coast have tested positive in the last week, it's running wild here at the moment. The official stats being posted are inaccurate because it's virtually impossible to buy a RAT on the coast and some people are being turned away from pcr tests if they don't meet requirements.
Even though the outdoor setting makes it lower risk it's still a gathering of 4000 people you don't usually mix with. There will be some people there who've got it. In the back of my mind is the fact we've got the ffa cup final coming up, i don't want to miss that because I've caught it at this one.
I might still go, just in 2 minds at the moment. I'd have been a lot more comfortable and an easier decision if it was full stadium.
There’s a lot of people moving from 1 to 2 at the moment. Many people that have been doing all the right things and lying low are still getting it anyway so the sentiment is shifting to ‘why am I sacrificing all these things when it’s inevitable’. It’s a bit hard to reconcile with all the fear based messaging of the last 2 years though.those that are trying to avoid catching covid, those that don’t really care and see it as inevitable eventually
I don't think anyone's "freaking out" we were just curious as to why that decision was made is all. This is what I was meaning, my mate and I have regular members on either side of us shoulder to shoulder, would be nice to spread out a bit more but again, I am sure the club has its reasons.ok ,so what about our reversed seating . i expect to sit in my seat ?
absolutely . i expect to sit in my expensive seat .Side issue re closing the Eastern side and keeping Western side open....
The general seating on the Western side is quite restricted whereas on the Eastern side there are a lot more general bays...
If they force all the general seats from the Eastern side into a small number of Bays on the Western side I think that is an issue...
At this stage there is no plan for this but i will keep an eye on the crowd on the day and adapt if need be.Iain
My question is the general seating on the west side is a lot less than the east side.. will you allow general seating on the west side for this game to spread across the reserve seating
