ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

um just reading that sign and the pdf on the game. there are tickets on sale for the match and they say theyre limited.
has anyone thought of pre purchasing these tickets before the game from the club?
bit worried it would sell out and i miss the match.

Do you mean like a group bulk-buy Marinators purchase to save some of us a long northerly drive?

if there was a group bulk-buy i would get in, but it might be a bit too late for hassle.

if anyone is going north and picking up tickets i can transfer money to their account. i wont get a chance until gameday as i live in Sydney and wont be going to Budgewoi anytime in the next two weeks.

It's not very clear about match tickets: warns of limited capacity, but doesn't actually say if they're available anywhere before gates open. Does say Post-Match Function tickets are available though.
???

what i dont understand is this:
this is from the FFA article:
Tickets available at the gate on game day. Price: Gold coin donation.

and this is from the pdf:
general $5.00 - limited capacity
Family $10.00 - limited capacity

and this is from the CCM article:
Admission to the match itself will cost a gold coin.

. was thinking the same thing but didn't have time to find the details

. could end up being a disaster (too many people being asked to pay more than they expected)

Below is the official flyer that has poeple talking!

Since the original flyer was produced (three weeks ago), several logistical changes have acured. As you could imagine, for any club this is a HUGE event to host.

Discussions have been ongoing with both clubs through coaching, Marketing, Media and Comunication personnel, the latest being yesterday where both CEO's John Mckay (CCM) and John Tsatsimas (Jets) called into Budgewoi for an update. Management of both clubs along with organisiers from Budgewoi Soccer Club are very happy with all aspects of the day and are looking forward to a Fantastic afternoon and evening on the coast.

The latest plug for the day will be the film crew from SBS "The World Game". They are going to put a 5-7 minute segement together, regarding all aspects of the day, which will be shown post 21st June. This along with NBN & Newspaper reporters from local, Sydney and Newcastle will be on hand to report all events on the day.

This is a great opportunity for Central Coast Football to be promoted and it is fantastic that both CCM and JETS are willing to put something back into the game at the grass roots level.

Appoligies are required for price changes and therefore please, please accept.

So come one, come all, support your team, be proud that we can host such an event, and know that with success, their is NO reason why this couldn't be an annual event :eek:verhead:

I personally believe they shouldve had it funded by the FFA at a proper venue and billed this the Australian Super Cup then they could build a massive hype about it

Some of the discussion about this game has left me a bit puzzled. OK, so most is tongue in cheek I'm sure, but why has there been so much talk about creating mayhem at this game ?
I find it hard to find any purpose in it other that a determination to 'shoot yourself in the foot'.
Apparently there is a good chance that this could become an annual fixture, surely something we would all welcome. If some choose to take the opportunity to 'have a go' at the scum, or just generally behave like arses then surely that will kill it stone dead. ALSO, there will be cameras around and let's not forget the dark days of the World Game in Oz when the only time the media reported football was when some braindeads had been fighting at the game.
I reckon there will be a lot of Mums and Dads with their little ones who play for Budgewoi, Doyalson, Kanwal etc etc at the game, the last thing anyone surely wants is for these folks to feel intimidated !!!
Lastly, there are going to be a fair few there who, if they have a top day and get to experience the atmosphere of a real football match, may take it on themselves to come to Bluetongue on regular basis. The point of having the game at Budgewoi was that it has a top playing surface, the facilities and sits midway between the scum and best team in Oz. It's a great opportunity to promote real football in the area and show everyone what an brilliant bunch the Marinators (and all who follow the Yellow and Navy) are and of course to reaffirm what a shower of shite the scum are, but the rest of the world already knows that.
