ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Great call Greenpoleffc :goodpost:

I was reading this topic, thinking the same thing :naughty:

The game will be policed and security will be present :popo:

The area will be fenced off and all bags will be checked before entry :popo:

Eskies are not allowed  however the club has got a liquour License for that day ;D

Other than that, enjoy the day, bring the family, get some autographs and photos :eek:verhead:

The Mariners said that they would bring the "Premiership Plate".

When asked if the Jets would be bringing their dunny seat the answer was, "We are not sure if we are allowed, it is at Cons house" :naughty:

Silly of me to ask!!! :redcard:

I would love to take the wife and kids, but I don't know whether its worth the risk. They have been enjoying going to games. If I take them there and there is violence, it will probably turn them off going to Bluetongue as well.

We're probably both joining as season ticket holders this year (as opposed to only me last year), so perhaps we're better off going to the meet and greets after the games at Bluetongue. Never been to one of them yet.

whose bringing the flares??

The runts, they like the pretty colours apparently. Given your love of flares maybe you should join them on the day  :p

unfortunately I'll be working that weekend.

Thats the one area where we have to be careful when repling with a tongue in cheek comment.

Mariners fans are not ageiest, (wow is that a word?) couldn't be, I'm not that smart.....anyway whether we are 7 or 77 we shouldn'tt think that we cannot turn up to a game in our own backyard because of comments made by our own supporters.

We turn away the new members and first timers to our sport.

Lawrie has been talking about how they are looking forward to having a quality hit-out leading up to the season, and would like this to be annual thing. Both camps are looking forward to it for that matter.

COME ON PEOPLE

Man, there are some pretty dumb posts around the forum (definitely not by you, Bex) but it's stuff like this that really gets me.

Posts like this implies that there will be so much trouble at the game that there will be collateral damage affecting people who aren't even looking for it! Based on what? What risk?

Perfectly sensible post by greenpole on page one but tbh I think we're past the point where those disclaimer posts are even necessary.

i agree completely. The media seems to be watching us in this respect. Sure this game might not be as big as the grand final but still we should be cautious

Gagging people from mentioning bad things in case the media latches onto it is NOT what I'm talking about.

Pulling people up for their own sake when they even consider there will be problems is what I'm talking about. Fact is: nothing 'risky' has or will go down.

Let's be real: Runts will bring max 30 to this game, probably less. Worst case scenario is that a situation somehow develops where one idiot hits another idiot. No use pretending that can't happen because it's happened before. We will obviously try to avoid this - that goes without saying (yet we still say it). But how that poses more of a risk to an innocent bystander and their family than going to an NRL match, going to the CCLC, or even attending a full term of school, is beyond me.
