D'Apuzzo    O'Grady        Wilko      Bogic

Merenda                                  Tadrosse
                        Carceres
              Macca              Simone

  Bench: Redmayne, Porter, Hutcho, Sasho
Sasho should come on  for the last 20 min and just go hard in sted of being lazy for a full 90.
I got high hopes For Merendas and expect him to do well so why not put him in.
If Simone, Macca and Caceres can produce a good partnership look out Scum there all top class players and i carnt understand why Macca hasn't started.
Jedi to dominate the midfield.
If there is a game were the defence needs to step up its this game.
Step up lads.
Wilko needs to be the anchor for the game Bogic to O'Grady cause he's reliable.
And this is D'Appuzzo chance to grab a spot.

i doubt meranda or tadrosse will start IMHO, will either be on the bench or play youth league
No i disagree Meranda only has a 6 week contract there not going to let the money walk out the door. He has been training for the last 1 ans a half months so chemistry and fitness shouldnt be a problem.

I am amazed at the number of people wanting to start with players who they have never seen perform or others who have failed to impress, or show that they are superior to what we already have.

I think people may want him to start because Lawrie has described him as the most impressive player that has ever trialed with the club. Based on this assessment why not give him a go? Can't possibly do any worse than Ossie last week or anytime this year at RM for that matter. Although reading his profile I'd be more inclined to start him at RB and have Porter at RM

Milligan Joins The Jets

Oct 21 2008 14:09

EXCLUSIVE: Olyroo skipper Mark Milligan is set to be unveiled as a Newcastle Jets player within the hour, au.fourfourtwo.com can exclusively reveal.
After searching for a club for more than six months after leaving Sydney FC at the end of last season, Milligan is set for a shock return to the A-League.

Newcastle Jets have finalised a deal for the centreback to join the club for seven weeks as a replacement player - and signed him up for next season too.

With key Jets youngsters away on Young Socceroos duties, the door was open for clubless Milligan to join on a short-term contract, but he has also now penned a deal that will take him through to 2010.

Although the stint will be a slap in the face for the ambitious youngster who had his sights set firmly on a deal in Europe, it could prove vital to his future.

After trials with clubs like Arsenal, Werder Bremen and Porto were hampered by visa issues, Milligan has fallen off the national team radar.

Manager Pim Verbeek warned Milligan he was putting his Socceroo place on hold while he was without a club.

Aside from the Olympics, Milligan has not played competitively since February.

The new deal will get him vital match practice again, plus put him back in the shop window for a move overseas.

He could potentially significantly add to his Socceroos caps which will take him nearer the vital 75 percent mark required to earn a UK visa.

His new contract is likely to have either a low or zero transfer fee option for any move overseas.

This afternoon Newcastle Jets today confirmed Mark Milligan was joining them.

Were delighted to have a player of Marks calibre joining our squad," said manager Gary van Egmond.

"I feel that he will add a significant amount to our playing group in regards to his ability and experience and he should slot straight into the team.

Its great to have Mark signed for now and next season also. It boosts our squad, not only in terms of personnel, but it gives a lift to those boys already here."

He added: "I think it really shows our ambition as a club and that were serious about our title defence, and creating a strong squad into the future.

Im looking forward to working with him for the duration of his time in Newcastle.

Jets Chief Executive Officer John Tsatsimas also welcomed Milligan to the Hunter.

We are certainly pleased to bring Mark on board, he said. We believe his ability and experience, particularly at international level, will be a massive boost for us as we continue our Championship defence.

Mark is a wonderful signing for our club, we are pleased to have secured his services and believe that he will represent Newcastle with the same distinction that he has served his country.

Milligan began training with the team this afternoon and will be formally presented his playing jersey at a media conference tomorrow.

At last he has found his true home and will compete within the team to be the biggest wanker of them all.  :piralaugh:

The big question is - does he increase the Jets Wanker Factor or decrease it?

moot point
I didn't think it could be increased.

It could be increased ...... you would wonder how ........ but Con will find a way.

Someone should start a poll of who is the Scum's biggest Wanker ........ my vote is Con

I don't care what you think but i have a mate from Italy and said he ran the team he played for and also said that he was a god at his former club.
