Look, honestly, if he wants to say it's not a red, I actually don't care. I can see an argument both ways.
But he's talking about 'oh the studs come up naturally when you slide'. For one, no they don't. Two, even if it is, so what? duke is resonsible for the position of his foot. If there was contact with the studs it would be an inarguable, textbook red card. The studs were so dangerous that a red would still have been justified.
