I will be nice to our officials and say that some of the rulings appeared inconsistent. ::)
I was more worried by the way nick appeared to pull up in the last couple of minutes. I hope it was my imagination but he did appear to limping and unable to fully stretch out.
Does anyone have any info?

And Bex.. sorry forums can be hard to read sarcasm but ill do my best to spell it out more clearly next time.

no problem atticus.

Yeh, the ref was a shocker. I though he was going to give a yellow to everyone out there.

I'm liking the idea that we played pretty well and we've still got Boogs, Heff, Jedi and Simon to come back into the team.

Lawrie indicated everyone pulled up OK, but Clarkey will be suspended next week.

Yeah, wasn't it 10 yellows ?  At one stage 6 in about 20 minutes...a bit OTT. :yellowcard:

But BOZZA was BEAUTIFUL to watch :eek:verhead: Still got incredible reflexes considering how long he's been away. Boz beating Bling 3-0 - feels sooo good !!

What a way to return to Bluetongue - did anyone else notice the rainbow that came out over the palm trees just before he saved the penalty ?  :)  Or Kossie giving the 4th official a verbal tongue-lashing ?  LOL

This match made me feel so GOOD about the upcoming season - the guys just showed that incredible determination and team spirit they do so well.  Some call it 'grinding'...I just call it brilliant football. Lost my voice from cheering today (and I think plenty of people were cheering Vukes as well, btw - so good to see him back where he belongs).

Just heard a quote from Kossie on Foxsports :
"I don't think the Central Coast were 3 goals better than us, I think it was Bozza that  made the difference"  :piralaugh:
Someone PLEASE give the poor guy a reality check !

Anyone know the final count on how many yellow's he gave out? I lost count in the first half!

A great start to the year.

Still see no one has even mentioned the marquee player for Sydney FC.  Aloisi obviously to scared to show his face on the coast!

I have no idea who the man in the middle was but I dont think he will officiate at to many games this season. Some of his decisions were attrocious.

I thought we were under the pump for the first 20 or so and might have gone behind.
Marvellous difference a goal makes to our team, once we scored we controlled a little more and looked cohesive.

I for one am very happy for Bozza and where he is at for his on field performance. He was never going to be dreadful but a few things he did today must instill him with a massive amount of confidence that he is on the way back.

Not sure about Gumps but why is there a need to use him all the time?

I tho Porter especially in the first half had a great game and what a choice with Hutch, Jedi & Porter foe CM's.

The first goal was set up IMO bt Elrich when he got the ball, he held it turned held it and in doing so he pulled them out of shape then he laiyed off a perfectly weighted pass and then it all flowed. But without that touch when he cot the ball, the turn and slowing the pace down and turning FC the wrong way it would not have happened.

Elrich seems to have trimmed down and I hope he is getting back to his best but his touch on the ball is the best I have ever seen in the Yellow shirt, he has pace to burn ......... no where near best on park but he could be massive and the left back Dave boy what a game for a young man, excellent.

I think being injured might have something to do with it.

Nah, he moved on for money. And you guys were silly enough to give it to him. I can't imagine how much you would have paid him if he had two legs that worked.

Aloi$i injured himself filming the commercial for the A-League, and now that Bozza is here he's only a B-Grade marquee.

As for James' comment, I believe the Cove chant from last season is suitable "What a waste of money"
