kitty o'shea's is normally the go, isn't it? it's not great, but you get to (easily) outsing the orange lot and have a beer in the beergarden out the back. and frankly, it's that humid up there that that's all that really matters.

Seeing as thought this is also an Accomdation thred - anybody know of a fairly cheap hotel near there??

I tried findaroom.com.au, and could find one for $93 for the night, but wanted to see what else was there. Just need the basics, running water optional

there is a formula based at winsdor for 69-79...is about 10 taxi ride from city...but in my experiences is rubbish.

Yeah, found a hotel for $93 for 2 adults. About 3min drive from the stadium. All booked & ready to go

I don't know if it'll still be there. Last time I was there, they we're building a freeway that would of ran straight into it. And that was over a year ago.

looking at the numbers..... this is going to be HUGE

based on previous games, the numbers on this forum that are confirmed as going represent about 1/3 of the total fans that are in the bay on game day

as its a semi, im calling it at about 150-200 mariners fans representing

awesome effort

Can someone help me with this problem? or steer me in the right direction of what i have to do and who i have to talk to so we can get these banners in?

So far I only have Nutmeg volunteering to take the standards up by plane on thurs night but i dont want to leave her with that burden as im unsure whether she will be able to take them onboard or luggage them. Once again, is there anyone driving up and back with enough boot/car space that can take the standards?

Also with whoever is going, we should allocate one pub only to rendezvous and organise a march to the ground before kickoff so our numbers are effective and loud instead of all getting their in drips n drabs.

As I am doing the carry on luggage only, I need to someone who is driving there and back to take my bunch of standards up. PM me if you can help, I will give the banners to you next friday after the game, or i can get them to you whenever that weekend.

Ranyen and I are driving up, gonna visit relo's up that way, so we'd be happy to take anything you need up to QLD. If anyone is also interested in coming with us to share petrol costs, we have 2 seats available.

We also offered, but leaving around 11pm Thursday night, so wont get up there til Friday morning

Umm.... this could be a stupid post, but remember the FFA control these games and are quite strict on what banners etc are taken into the ground. 

Didn't we have an issue with certain types of poles into scumcastle last year??

well we should really try and get these banners up there as we need to reprazent!!!
anyone with an idea of who to contact or how to go about this could you please post here so we can get this done asap instead of leaving to last minute and rocking up to suncorp with nothing in terms of tifo or colour.

Also pub and rendezvous time are still yet to be discussed, we should establish this asap so everyone is in the know where to go and what time the march is to the ground for the match.
