I thought Niz was Mom (like a bull terrier on steroids) but Stens was extremely solid.Nisbet and DDS had great games but my MOM was Stensness. His passing has been a much improved part of his game this season and he is not dwelling on the ball.He is still physical and his reading of the game is a feature.Having Bozanic in the team will have been a big factor in his improvement.
I was critical of him last season ,especially his passing and decision making , but can see his potential is being realised.
Stens has certainly gone up a level in confidence and delivery this year though I think he is far from his best yet. He is a really bright kid, very very intellectual and he reads the game well. Apart from that he is a freak physically. It was interesting that one commentator (I think Slater) said that Staj thinks Stens is pound for pound the strongest player in the A-League". I wouldn't be surprised.
With all that potential, I think he could be the one who might really give the club some financial payback with transfer fees one day.
